    They have been know to murder and take out governments - including duly elected ones - for pushing back on the petro dollar.

    Well, there are moves both here and abroad to address this problem.

    It's not just US law enforcement that cares about money laundering, terrorism, drug running, etc.

    These are pernicious problems around the world.

    Terrorism and drug running can be prosecuted in their own right. They have nothing to do with most cryptocurrency users.

    All of law enforcement activity from shoplifting to terrorism faces the issue that the vast majority of the public aren't even slightly interested in breaking any laws.

    Having the majority be legal just isn't an interesting concept.

    Well, short of shutting down the internet, there's not much the states of the world can do to stop cryptocurrencies. So, whatever.
