I think congress should sign the immigration bill IF

Joe Biden publicly admits he caused this disaster by rescinding all those Trump immigration EOs. "i'm sorry, it wasn't a good idea, this is my fault, please sign the bill to help undo some of the damaged that I caused, thank you congress"

That's not what they are doing though. They are faking they didn't cause anything, ignoring it right up until election time AND are trying to blame the other side.

Due to that, I hope congress uses every crap bill they put their way as TOILET PAPER until they get the cajones to admit THEY CAUSED THIS PROBLEM

There are two many damaging aspects of that bill. Allowing in law 5000 illegal entries per year (as opposed to zero now) would let in 1.8 million illegals a year...that are legally allowed too cross the border.

 

5,000 illegals per day = 1.8 million per year, but, that's only phase 1 of the plan,
I understand there are 3 more phases required to destroy the USA completely.

 

I'm sure Biden would be MORE than happy to publicly "admit" that he rescinded Trump's order to torture children in order to dissuade their parents from pursuing their right to asylum.

 

Do you have a link to the order Trump gave to torture kids? From what I understand, many of the illegal alien kids were sexually abused on their way here before Obama put them in cages.

 

Serious pressure needs to be put on Schumer to bring bipartisan HR2 to a vote. I can think of only two reasons he hasn't done that yet: He wants more illegals or Biden told him not to bring it to a vote because he wants more illegals. After all, it was Biden who said this country can take in 2 million illegals a year and told them to surge the border.

 

He's never doing that. He's on the open borders side.

I'm not sure if MAGA folk in this thread realize this. But when Republicans in Congress refused to pass the bill that had already been passed with a bi-partisan majority in the Senate, they made immigration a NON-issue for this election cycle. It's dead!

Most progressives (myself included) don't think that this is an issue that is too relevant. Or rather, it is. But the relevance to us is in the mistreatment of people (especially children) who seek asylum. Something MAGAs couldn't care less about. Swing voters who might be paying attention to immigration and Republican Conservatives (not MAGAs, but those who MAGAs call "RINOs") now know that there was a plan that would have ameliorated immensely the problem, and that it was Republicans in the House who stopped it. That only leaves MAGAs. And MAGAs will vote for Trump even if he tortures the immigrants' children to dissuade them for trying to seek asylum.

For THIS election cycle, immigration is only relevant to MAGAs. But Biden has NO interest in pursuing their vote. So (politically speaking)... who cares?

To qualify that, the human factor (described above) might be important to Biden. But nothing here is going to make the least bit of difference in the November elections.

So you guys are on your own. Feel free to complain amongst yourselves. But I hope you're aware that pretty much nobody else cares.

I'm not sure if the anti MAGAs in this thread realize this, but the Senate bill had very few republican votes, I believe it was just 4. The house bill, HR2, had a lot of democrat votes, around 40.

 

The legal limit is currently zero...you want to raise that to 5000 a day.
