Almost forgot to share my experience... Took the middle girl (9) with me. There is this church like three houses away from me (I live on a dead end street) and it seems pretty full. So, after getting some liquid courage in me - I decided to go. Funny huh... Not really, I never knew that one beer would give off such a strong odor, and they let me know... The average age was about 50 years old... It's wasn't fun... It was dry and just blah... BUT - today my neighbor hooked me up with his church that I am going to check out: http://www.doorofhopepdx.org/ HIPPIE CHRISTIANS!!!???!?!? Oh - you all KNOW I have to check this out!!! I will give you an update as I plan on going this Sunday!!!
I checked out the 'door of hope' church. You probably won't like it. I agree with their beliefs. Quit trying to impress the church that you drink a beer. Big deal. If you want to worship Christ and God with the Christians, then attend and act like it. If you just want to impress us, stay home. We are not fooled, and are not impressed. Quantrill
Anything... I felt something, as I posted before, when I went to church. I was, per Christian's, the Holy Spirit.. I liked it!! I want that feeling again...
I have no clue what you meant... You think that after having a beer I said, "Hey, I want to impress the poeple on Political Forum and go to this church here so I can post it later... I want to impress them..." Is that what you think? Or am I getting this wrong...
Sure. Why tell us you have to have a beer before you go to church? Why tell us the church let you know about it? Why? Because you want to present yourself as sincere but then the 'hypocritical' church rejected you. Its an old game. As I said, the church can see through it. And as I said, don't go to the other church, you won't like it. Quantrill
Of course not. Because I would be playing agnostic atheist guitar. Everyone will be able to tell its a godless guitar. lol
Right? Hmp.... I guess the "open arms" approach only applies to like minded people. But of course, that comment came from someone he said killing infants in a global flood is totally acceptable. Not exactly an authority on morals or ethics.
Hmmmmm.... I don't remember reading that. But you believe that infants deserve to die, so what authority do you have on the subject?
I have all the authority of the Word of God. Thus you and your guitar can stay out on the street. Quantrill
I guess like how you can hate the sin but love the sinner, one could hate Christianity but love the Christian, eh?
Oh, how loving. You use your religion to justify your hate. A confirmation of what I have been saying all along. "I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ." -Mohandas Gandhi
Oh please, your breakin my heart. Cry me a river. No, I regulate the way the Church should operate based on the Word of God. So, out on the curb for you and your guitar. Quantrill
