We should have everyone tag their house with some sort of sign letting you know who owns guns and who doesn't.

That way, the anti gun crowd can scream loud and proud that they dont like guns. Meanwhile, I will be willing to put a sign on my door that I own several.

    Who's with me!?!?

I don't need a sign, people will know that I have guns the second they walk in uninvited.

If I were a criminal I'd assume that people with guns have more to protect than people without guns. A bigger score so I'd definitely target the homes with guns.

That's why the fort Knox has been robbed so many times right? More guns = more loot.

You'd make a crappy crook, and you'd have a really short career. :D

The government might already be doing that.

Why? I did karate for 8 years. I am pretty much lethal with my hands and I am stealthy. Not as stealthy as ninjas but I am light. I'd wager that my training in hand to hand combat beats a person with a gun. I have the element of surprise.

I love it. But you'll find that anti-gun people get strangely sheepish about telling people their homes are unarmed when you actually know where they live. Somebody did this to Touré from MSNBC awhile back. They knocked on his door and asked him if he'd be willing to put a sign in his front yard that said his home was proudly gun free. And he stumbled and fumbled and awkwardly said he appreciated the idea but he wasn't comfortable doing it. It was hilarious to watch.

Yeah... well... good luck with that 'choose the armed houses cause they have better stuff and your kung-fu skills will save you' strategy. lol

Like I said element of surprise. The man in the video did not have the element of surprise.

If you were a criminal you'd be stupid. Of course your thought pattern already alluded to that fact. Your just one crime away from fruition.

Don't really need a sign. By continually practicing and tuning precision firearms everyone in the area knows. Anyone who hasn't already gotten the message is gonna hate the outcome of poor decision making. I believe in free choice.

Actually she does. She just wants government to do the stealing on her behalf. No difference really.

A gun/no gun sign would take the surprise out of it for the bad guys, and who doesn't like a good surprise?

Only out of fairness and equality for the would be bad guys (as you know, we're all about fairness and equality for all) I would have to go against this sign proposal.

Who are these "bad guys"? Homes with guns in them are more, yes more, likely to have gun violence.

Ummm . . . true, a canny and lucky criminal could do that; and some do, and manage to get away with quite a haul; and then some miscalculate and fail to make absolutely certain that the place is empty before going in . . . and then end up leaving feet first. So it's sort of a high risk way of attempting to make a big score.

Why go for petty robberies I say. If I'm gonna do it I am gonna do it so I won't have to do it again.

I've been a martial artist for the last forty years and the only way I'd go empty hand against an armed burglar is out of desperation and to protect my family members. On the other hand, I wouldn't be empty-handed.

As long as the robber is smart you might not react as quickly enough

Ah yes, the really big haul, the once in a lifetime opportunity dream heist . . . except that most criminal types seem to be rather sucky when it comes to being fiscally responsible, and rather than investing in something substantial they tend to spend it all on cars, mind altering substances, and gender non-specific persons of dubious sexual standards. So then they got to pay all their traffic fines, get dried out, finish their penicillin treatments and then go back to 'work' casing another dream heist job.

I don't know about HTownMarine but I used to live inside a Mexican dominated barrio, and occasionally there was the entertaining shoot out between drunks after dark. Then I began doing well enough to move up and out . . . and then a few years later in the 'new neighborhood' things began going downhill once more, culminating in a drive by shooting event in which somebody raked the drug dealer's home across the street with full automatic gun fire. It was awesome!

So anyway the drug dealer hauled rump that night and was never seen again. I walked over to take a close look at the damaged property the next day and it was amazing to examine the neat line of waist and chest high bullet holes stitching traveling across the front of that abandoned home. Now I am surrounded by decent lower middle class Hispanic families, however, and the sounds prevalent is the noise of children playing, lawns being mowed, and steaks sizzling on backyard barbecue pits. It's . . . nice; but it did become a hell hole for a while. So that sort of thing really does happen.

Why are State governors getting a free pass as commanders in chief of that which is declared necessary to the security of a free State?

Who said anything about a war zone?

I just think anti gun people are so proud, they would hop right onto the idea and let everyone know their house has no guns inside.

    You don't agree? Why not?
