.... now you know. This is hilarious.... Weather Channel corespondent can barely stand!!!! WOW... it must be horrendous out there....he better get in OR HE COULD DIE!!!!!!!! Wait....who are those two people walking calmly behind him??
That would be North by Northwest winds. They do exaggerate although the conditions there with flooding are getting worse.
The people in the background are sheltered by a building. Notice the debris on the ground at their feet isn't moving, but the debris right behind the reporter is flying by? Oops.... And so early in your time here.
Debris flying by? You mean the leaves? He is leaning away from the direction of the leaves blowing also. And the people walking are literally across the street. Building blocking
There is debris on the sidewalk where the passer by are walking. That debris, including the barricades that are lying there, aren't moving. On the other hand, the debris directly in the street, and the bushes right next to the reporter, are being battered by wind. So, perhaps you can save the eye rolling emoji for something that actually fits.
yeah...I was going to say that too....maybe the OP's some sort of weather conspiracy theorist? Hi.....you're new so....greetings, salutations and pleasanties etc. etc. ... look mate its JUST a weather report....between me and you; no ones listening so a wee hint.... you've just displayed the futile desperation of a conspiraloon in full keyboard bashing mode trying to maintain against the flow that you still have a point.... Tip for ya.....remember the 1st rule of holes..... it'll serve you well here.
The other day, they showed a reporter on the side of a street which ran parallel to the beach, giving an on site report while hanging onto a light or sign pole as if he was about to get blown away. Behind him, out on the beach, people were walking relatively nonchalantly. It was breezy and rainy, yes. But not tie yourself down weather.
Its a dangerous storm.. Do you have any family going thru it? Have you ever been thru a major hurricane?
While the individual reporters may at times take things a bit extreme - I've ridden out three hurricanes now, and the devastation is real - the aftermath is real. So please don't get freaked out by a thirty second spot when the weather stations are doing such a good job of tracking the path of the hurricane and warning people not to take it lightly. Big picture here is the important one.
I have seen clay roof tiles and stop sign blowing by.. and if you're out in it, they will destroy your car or YOU.
Yes actually. And my wifes entire family is in NC. The storm surge/flooding is serious. The winds last night there were moderate. This guy is a bit of a drama queen. https://www.washingtonpost.com/blog...lean-in/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.0c73d06ad66b https://www.infowars.com/twitter-ro...reporter-for-faking-hurricane-wind-intensity/ https://twitchy.com/gregp-3534/2018...er-appearing-to-fake-extreme-wind-conditions/ https://bustedcoverage.com/2018/09/14/weather-channel-guy-busted-faking-it/
Did I say that? No, I didn't. And speaking of drama queens.... we appear to have several right here in this thread.
big picture? when the media exaggerates (aka fakes) weather phenomenon ) it forces people to ignore them and their warnings, not the other way 'round, their intention, although inspired, becomes their downfall. they should state things as they are & then give advice as they see fit. i'd bet at least a few deaths are a direct result of their theatrics which caused some to ignore them...
