Write BBC and beg them to continue Merlin!!! Besiege them with letters. Do you guys have commercials over there??? If so--tell them you will buy sponsor products. Just save my show!!
you could write them yourself and pretend youre an ex-pat living in america, or I could open you a .co.uk hotmail account if you really want
it sounds like its coming to a natural conclusion. you should write them anyway, theyre bastards though they wont do anything, I used to post on a bbc soccer forum, it was the most popular british forum on the internet, they announced they were shutting it down and thousands complained but they still did it.
possible but not likely going by the interviews there. there are other channels but there has to be money in it like anything else.
Natural conclusions don't happen in US until ratings say they must. I doubt Merlin has bad ratings yet. Its a shame.
Natural conclusions don't happen in US until ratings say they must. lol, it happens to everything Im afraid nothing is forever, you will end homeland one day soon. Im going to sleep now ciao.
Relax. The rumor I heard was that Syfy channel was going to buy the show and reboot it for the US. In the new version, Arthur is a frat boy who wears a baseball cap backwards; Merlin is the nerd who Arthur torments and forces him to do his homework and Guinevere is the hot sorority chick that they both want. Car chases, magic, and antics ensue!
...you on about? It's primetime every weekend, you have to work to avoid it with all the ads about it. I don't mind it that much, it's easy to watch if annoying in parts. I haven't heard it's going off air. It seems popular with the same kind of crowd as Doctor Who (except in Charlie's house). I find it ...I'm sorry but they seem to be gay guys having a laugh. That Guinevere gets right on my nerves. And the way they twist the accepted history (that I've read) is just annoying. They're misinforming an entire generation. Get it off....(sorry CKW) Oh btw, the actor who plays the old sorcerer (Merlin's boss) is from my town. He's the best bit of it...
Poor old Richard's getting a bit dottery these days, but then aren't we all! It sounds like the production company think it's gone as far as they can take it. "The programme has been running for five years and pulls in almost seven million viewers in its Saturday evening slot. The creators say the show, which features a young King Arthur and his wizard servant, will come to a "natural and dramatic end" with a two-part finale. "I think the show has run its natural course," admits Northern Ireland-born Colin Morgan, who plays Merlin. Bradley James says that he would like the fantasy series to go out on a high. "We've arrived at its strongest point and we've achieved what we set out to do." ... " http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/20489859
I admit...there is a definate Gay message "Except us for who we are....." I don't think there is one actual story regarding King Arthur---there are many variations from I read on Wiki. Plenty of license to play with the story. But they have a thread running true through it. I wondered how Queen G was going to go bad....she was so sweet before. Its helps to deal with it when you know she has a spell on her.
The only spell was that she had the hots for one of Arthur's nights. There are all kinds of regional variations in the legend but that stupid Guinevere isn't true to any of them. She was not a commoner. In some stories, there were two Guineveres (and the name translates as Vivien). In my version, Merlin was Scottish and possibly all of them were. (in the Welsh version, they're all Welsh. English say they're theirs). Uther tricked his way into Ygraine's bed and her old husband died fighting Uther's war while they were "at it" behind his back. She was then pregnant by Uther and guilt/social stigma/political volatility made them hide Arthur away to protect him. Merlin took and hid him, raising him with a family who taught him the things he had to know about warfare but did not reveal his identity to him. Uther died and Arthur came and pulled the sword from the stone etc etc etc. Merlin was Arthur's uncle, Royal, a skilled engineer and politician and openly prone to politically helpful "visions". He allegedly lost his mind as a result of some wartime tragedy for which he felt responsible (perhaps the Uther/Ygraine incident as he was said to have disguised Uther and orchestrated his access to her castle and then regretted it severely. This also fits with Uther's hatred of sorcery, as he is said to have avoided Merlin after that incident) and wandered about as a madman in the forest up here for years, perhaps a cover to hide Arthur's whereabouts. Mordred and Arthur killed each other in battle, after a misunderstanding. It's just Star Wars story, if you think about it.
