If you were Rubio or Rand, would you want Cruz to succeed in his defunding plan?

Support it ...sure. Gotta pander to the Tea Partyers, ditto-heads, Hard Right, etc.

But when it came down to it actually succeeding...and Ted getting all the credit...and riding that to Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Florida in 2016.....is that what Marco and Rand would want???

Or would they want the plan to crash and burn....with Ted at the controls? After they bailed out and later said "You know, if I had done it....it would have worked!"?

Since there is no Republican win on this, I imagine your question is purely theoretical, but if this maneuver did manage to actually defund Obamacare, I think both Rubio and Rand would jump in and try to take their share of the credit.

Just one more example of Liberal small mindedness.

I don't think anyone has a chance in Democrat politics unless they have a whole lot of pettyness running through them.

Seems that pettiness is not limited to just democrats.
the list of republican pettiness is even longer these days which is understandable since they are focused on tearing down, not building up.

You believe EVERY Tea Party Repubican is good and loyal and true and righteous, Pregnar.

Oh...and send them lots and lots of your money as a "love offering". :)

Since it's failed?.....I think we'll soon see how Rand and Marco start to "distance" themselves from the plan.

Our pettiness is just more polished than yours. Yours sounds just a little more, shall we say, whiny.

I'd readily vote for you to give up your own liberties, but not mine nor the rest of America's.

When people give up their liberty to their government they become subjects.

And that is what prompted us to create this country.

We didn't want to be subject to Royal dictates.

    You do.

When you care about a baby and you see it about to get run over by a car you scream, you cry, you shout, you do and say anything you can to save the baby from harm.

This country is about to be put in great danger and I am trying to alert you to it because I care about America and I care about our liberty.

If you cared you'd join me in raising the alarm.

So, either you don't care about America or you are too stupid to see the peril Obamacare will put America in.

Do you think every Muslim or every citizen of any of the nations in the axis of evil (for example) is good and true and righteous? Is that why you regularly oppose efforts to do what's best for America?

I believe the aims of the Tea Party are closer to what I believe than any other party.

I believe the Tea Party is only as worthy of my patronage as the ideals they champion.

The Tea Party champions the Constitution.

Good enough for America all these years.

    Good enough for Pregnar!

What on earth are you yammering about?

Seems rather hypocritical that the right had absolutely no trouble with the Patriot Act and yet lots of trouble with Obamacare.
They seem to have no problem with voter suppression laws which strike at the very heart of liberty. They fought to deny equal rights (liberty) of homosexuals to marry. They have even created an entire for profit industry that relies on denying people their liberty for petty crimes like pot possession. They even have no problem in denying innocent americans the liberty to get on a plane to fly home to see mom.

Perhaps you should reexamine what the true nature of democratic liberty is really all about in this day and age.

There is no "Tea Party" party. It's a wing of the Republican Party.

BTW, interesting how a guy like you who NORMALLY would be cynical and untrusting of a politician....won't even consider the idea that Rand Paul or Marco Rubio would try to take advantage of their likely 2016 Primary rival Ted Cruz out of self-interest and a desire to beat him for the GOP Nomination.

BTW, yesterday....Rand was going around basically saying "Cruz's plan failed. Let's move on." He's going to use Ted's failure against him with guys JUST LIKE YOU now...or surely in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina in 2016.

Tea Partyers support "freedom and liberty"...to be a Tea Partyer.

Why can you picture Rand whining "TED, stop copying me...!"

    1) that kind of talk has been going on since Teddy Roosevelt. 2) If this country can't absorb Obamacare, it deserves to disintegrate.

What debt do you believe you owe for your freedom?

    Thanks.

We now see you care nothing about our freedoms and the power you'd grant the government to make them our master.

You are one of those people who are content as long as you aren't standing out from the crowd. As long as there are others who are as screwed up or ignorant or unconcerned about this country's well being or our liberties as you are who you can point to and say, "I'm not the only one who feels this way" you don't have to concern yourself with the responsibility for recognizing that all of us, en masse, are going over the cliff and you are urging Obama to step on the gas!

Forget about what went on in the past. Try to focus on this completely preventable crisis.

With all due respect, I think those two potential candidates know the new pecking order.

Ted Cruz, then a dogfight for who comes in second.

Rubio is too immature. He sounded like a college boy the night of the filibuster. He helped remove himself from serious 2016 POTUS consideration.

Rand still has a chance but he hasn't the charisma of Cruz.

    :roflol:

How convenient to forget all about the restrictions of liberty imposed by republican governments and yet go ape poopy over a plan that while not perfect, provides healthcare access for 40 million americans.

Screaming about denial of liberty with obamacare when any restriction of liberty is truly insignificant. You can opt out of obamacare and pay a lousy $100 a year for doing so. BFD.

Its a truly sad day for america when concept of individual liberty is prostitued and abused by the right so hypocritically.

as opposed to focusing on the numerous manufactured crisis that the right has been flaunting?
Expanding healthcare and controlling costs is only seen as a "crisis" by vest self interests and ideological automotons.

The freedom to be ripped off by insurance providers??? I don't believe I owe much for that freedom at all.

When will you get it through your head that most GOP'ers are not so petty minded as to put their own selfish concerns ahead of what's best for the nation as a whole???

Rand and Marco might recognize that Cruz could become the public's darling because of this but do you think they would want his efforts to do what is best for this country to fail so their own political prospects might be enhanced?

It is people like YOU who make up the majority of Liberals in Washington, D.D. and it is people like that that are the reason this country and our government is getting to be so screwed up.

You, and those like you, could do one thing to help make this country better and show your love for America.

Drop out of politics. Stop voting. Stop trying to spread your kind of influence in this country.

Recuse yourselves from our politics completely for the good of this country and our future.

    You are messed up.

    Seriously.
