Your suggestions of federal corona laws would also require federal law enforcement of these laws. Laws without enforcement are pointless. Trump laid out CDC guidelines which we all are responsible for following and states have the right to go with those or put further restrictions on at their discretion. This is absolutely the right way to do things in America for Americans. If you like the way totalitarian countries such as China operate you may live on the wrong side of the planet.

He called the democratic reaction to the virus a hoax, and therefor the virus a hoax.
That is in line with his idea that it wouldn't be this bad in the US.
That is in line of this idea that there would be a miracle and the virus would vanish.
