In two-war scenario, could U.S. forces prevail against powerful enemies?

several countries including iran, china, and n korea are advancing their submarine warfare capabilities. russia, of course, has been so capable for decades.

both china and russia have functional hypersonic weapons, we do not.

so much money has been wasted on the f-35 that i shudder to contemplate losing them to cheaper, more capable mig-41s or sams..

 

The Chinese think that they have the technology and the mss number of missiles to be able to overwhelm a carrier groups air and point defense systems and be able to hit and sink the aircraft carrier.

 

No they don't. If you can prove they do then you will need to cite a source OTHER than the Chinese and Russians.

The huge number of anti carrier weapons? That alone shows that other nations are extremely afraid of the combat capabilities of U.S. supercarriers.

 

I'm sure you have heard that our auto lines are struggling to stay in operation because of the Computer Chip shortage of automotive chips, 70% of which are made in Taiwan. I hope like hell that the chips our military rely on are not also sourced to Taiwan.

If Trump were President, I know how he would respond, by putting missiles through the bedroom windows of the Admirals and anyone in the command structure that ordered the strikes that has recently appeared in public in a military uniform.

With Biden? Who knows?

But China? If they are a student of history, they know that if one President is a lapdog, the next one elected will be of completely different timber. Ronald Reagan was elected because the Iranians pushed Jimma Carter all over the world stage. And Iran didn't want to play with Ronaldus Maximus "The Great One" and promptly released the hostages as soon as Reagan was sworn in.

 

In truth they were going to release the hostages anyway.

 

And it’s likely that much of the remaining 30% is in China itself so they could have a near total monopoly globally if they capture Taiwan’s production in tact.
