Just to put another nail in the coffin for global warming deniers:

And not just by a little. 5 degrees or more above the long-term average, and 2 degrees above the previous warmest spring.

    Some caveats:

    1. This is a regional measure, not a global one. It does not mean that globally this will necessarily be the warmest spring on record. Though it might be.

    2. Because of natural variability, this probably represents a short-term peak: it's unlikely next spring will be this warm due to natural variability. But that's how highly variable trends work: there are short-term ups and downs, but over time both the peaks and valleys move in one direction. And in the case of global temperature, that direction is "up".

Once the thread would have been heavily populated by corporate fanboys , social misfits , shareholders, oilmen and other weirdos. Tumbleweed time in Deniersville.

Research has demonstrated that the planet has other places that are not American .
Perhaps you would like to re-work your selective Topic and cater for this simple fact and the conditions elsewhere which confound your simple and premature conclusion .

You mean the part in my OP where I noted this was a regional measure, not a global one?

In the interests of balance; Weather =/= climate.
