I'm usually not anti-taxes but I guess I was just too used to the tax-free zone it used to be for my state. I live in California. A state run by morons and a state that recently started taxing online purchases. Now, here's my beef. I don't mind taxes. What I do mind are prices. I use Internet purchasing for convenience. Usually with shipping the thing would still cost me more than in a store. If I'm lucky I find a great deal online that saves all round. The thing about these new taxes is that it just makes it that much more expensive. My average purchases used to be slightly more expensive for a bit more convenience. Now I pay BOTH taxes and shipping (and God forbid I get the slowest version... I need my stuff now lol). Essentially I'm paying often like 125% the cost for convenience while I used to pay more like 115%. My buying power has be shrunk. Either get rid of the taxes or give me free 2-3 day shipping on all my purchases. And at this point we don't really want to shrink buying power... My ideal (though unrealistic as it would INCREASE costs) would be a +10% tax/shipping hybrid on the end of all online purchases. It's easy to calculate and has a nice clean number (OCD!).
The conservatives across the nation must unite to thwart this tyranny and infringment upon our god given talents. They must first stop the sliced bagel tax in New York though, it is killing the local bagel shop communtity and people are inconvenienced by either an increased tax, or having to slice the bagel themselves.
Who what when where why?! I just bought Lego sets and it cost me so much more because of this tax. YAY LEGO! (the best toy for any manly 26 yeah old)
