What grammatical errors?

 

People like to puff their chests when they realize they might be smart simply by the association to a racial group with higher IQ levels, but they do not realize that the association alone doesn't make them any smarter. There are plenty of dumb people in every racial category, and the failure to realize it could be an indication of .......well.....lower IQ.

I think he just slowed the number of apprehensions, because that's what they count, although some people equate that to number of people "getting in".

 

Nonsense. Trump reduced the # of people coming across. Increased the # of people remaining in Mexico to wait. Reduced the # of known got aways. Did not announce to the world for "all those people seeking asylum, immediately surge to the border''. Did not remove and deactivate remote cameras. I know a couple who met working for Border Control under Trump. She monitored cameras on tethered dirigibles Trump installed on the border. And dispatched him on fast reaction teams on ATVs and 4 wheel drive vehicles to apprehend. Soon as Biden took office, he removed the dirigibles and now they both process illegals 10-12 hrs a day. They estimate that now the "known" got aways are less than 1/4 of the actual # of got aways

 

Reduced number of apprehensions. They are apprehending a heck of a lot more now than then. As long as people equate apprehensions with "get ins" people think you are doing a good job as long as you don't apprehend the illegals.

Yes, when you reduce the # of people coming across the border illegally by turning them away and back to Mexico there will be fewer to apprehend.

CBP defines an apprehension as "the physical control or temporary detainment of a person who is not lawfully in the United States, which may or may not result in an arrest."

If they are turned away they are not "detained or in physical control." If they wade across the river and CPB confronts and orders them to return they are not "detained or in physical control". If they remain in Mexico awaiting asylum claims they are not "in the United States". If they are blocked from crossing by the "big, beautiful wall" they are not "in the United States". Such strong opinions regarding matters you know nothing about.
