As none is "pure evil" (hint hint), if you are being only half rational its still not rational in my book.

Yeah, as courtney indicates we don't so much "produce" oil as we have two "strategic reserves" one being the official one, and the other being oil on our lands.

Though I suppose you could make argements about tapping either.

Hmmmm I guess the exception is biofuels. We really do produce ethanol, and we can do that indefinitely.

Certain voices from Israel seem to be the main ones who are claiming that the hated Semites/Persians are "pure evil" (hint, hint).

If Sanctions and embargoes are "diplomacy" it seems like its Iran is being "diplomatic" about not selling oil to particular countries.

The strategy of a strong dollar over the price of gold is not working... these countries are not buying it.

Gold is the sure way to maintain treasure arcs in good standing.

Since Saddam Hussein's initiative of rejecting dollars in order to hurt the US economy, Russia and China have started the same trend.

According to former news years ago, India and Brazil were also to joint this initiative.

Their economic strategy is not pointed to hurt the US economy itself but to reject dollars made by the Bank of Reserve which have no backup with gold or silver. This action by the Bank of Reserve is what has created the war against the dollar, not so the US economy. Of course, our economy is tighten to the dollar as oxygen to hydrogen to make water.

The world economical game was disrupted when the US in a desperate play to survive official bankruptcy, called the Bank of Reserve to speed up the printer machine and produce dollars like crazy to dollarize the worldwide economic system. The other players noticed it, and since then they have been looking for a way to reject the dollar, first by accepting euros and gold.

Europe can't have the privilege of rejecting the dollar because such play will destroy their entire economy. European countries recognize that many dollars without value are floating in the system. They know that no other Fort Knox gold storage locations have been built to keep the precious metal that backs up the over production of dollars.

Iran, which is now affected by the US/UK/EU strategy to turn down the Russian economy by lowering the oil and gas prices, has no other choice but to defend their economy in order to confront the controlled machine that hurts them very bad.

Slowly but surely the Eastern countries will block the currency of the Western banks. Without the influence of the Western currencies, the Eastern countries will have a chance to be more successful to control their own economies.

Of course, the repercussion will be catastrophic for the US, and for this reason, the possible war invading more oil producer countries is the goal of the West. This is why ISIS is the worst enemy when these Muslims have recovered some oil wells and are making their own profit.

This conflict is not about freedom, democracy, equality, and similar.

This is an economic war, always was an economic war. We depend of the Middle East oil, not because we don't have oil in the USA but because our oil is not of the quality found in the Middle East oil. Our war airplanes can't work with our own oil, our warships can't work with our own oil.

And this is the sure evidence that our technology is not what the media implies it is... all this war for oil should be avoided if our scientists should be able to make war airplanes run with 87 octane gasoline... unfortunately, we must recognize that in this aspect our technology stinks.

The economical thread is increasing, first Russia and China, later India and now Iran.

Watch out... the US will have no other choice but war in order to survive...

A president of Venezuela had the same initiative in the 70's.

Carlos Andres Perez was a president who focused to increment metallurgy in Venezuela. The projects were many, and even an old US WW2 aircraft carrier was used as a huge "hotel" to host workers.

At the end, the innovative projects were left behind the oil production industry.

Iran is working hard to exit their own dependency of using oil as their primary source, for this reason they started the initiative of nuclear power.

The look for a kind of income for the country revenues other than oil production is a response to the control that the West has obtained to lower or higher the price of this fuel for strategic purposes.

It didn't work very well for Venezuela, lets see what happens with Iran./

I will only speak for the Dutch. In 1967 when Arab nations imposed an oil boycott on Europe the Dutch rode bikes and told those nations to phack off. I speak only for the Dutch and remember their brave reaction.

The Dutch are not intimidated by boycotts. They have a collective integrity all Israelis and Canadians know of for different reasons.

Wrong people for you to think will be intimidated. Wrong people.

Holland has had its disputes with Israel as do all nations over certain issues, but it has always stood by Israel at great personal expense. Every Israeli knows that.

As for us Canadians we all know their loyalty to us in WW2. Their Queen stayed with us during the war, their people to this day honour our soldiers who died liberating Holland with a genuine grass roots humility they never fail to show us time and time again. You think you can intimidate these people?

The Dutch people can handle Iran, terrorists, anything else..
