Yes, and so few people are paying attention.

The raging masses are more ignorant now than at any time since at least the beginning of the 1900's. This dumbing down of the population has been intentional.

I was going to disagree with you but changed my mind in the last second.

A few years ago - after my son had graduated high school - I asked him, "What is a logical fallacy". The kid is smart and managed to get into an international business school where 1 in 10 who apply get in.

He responded something to the effect of - does it have something to do with false logic ... which was a good guess. He only knew buy looking at the word and guessing.. 12 years of school and they manage not to teach the basics of Philosophy to a kid (logic, logical fallacy, what constitutes a valid argument, critical thinking).

One time when I asked a teacher about this the response was "we we don't want kids arguing with us" - Not Joking.

We also do not teach the founding principles (essential liberty above the legitimate authority of Gov't, Illegitimacy of authority and so on )

As someone (in a western democracy) - "Do you think the power of Gov't should be limited" vs "Totalitarianism". All will respond "YES YES" - "We don't want Totalitarianism".

OK ... Great .. wonderful even. Next question - If you do not want totalitarianism "What should the power of Gov't be limited to and why" ?

At that point you will get a "deer in the headlights" look. How is one supposed to know when the Gov't is stepping outside its legitimate purview (thus moving towards towards Tyranny) if one does not know what the legitimate authority of Gov't actually is.

If someone does not know what the limitations on the power of Gov't are ... there might as well not be limitations.

Turkey has nothing to do with the Iran deal.

That's why the west is heading for Fascism. The only question is ... what are the eastern nations going to do. I predict they are going to teach us Democracy (by example) from the ground up.

I lived in West Berlin during the cold war. I cannot explain why but I felt it even then while the Soviet Union was still goose-stepping on the other side of the wall that they were going to catch up to us and we were going to lag behind. When I think back on it I can't reminder what it was that made me feel that way but damn it I turned out to be right.

Turkey is a major player in the region. Everything that happens in Iran affects Turkey and everything that happens in Turkey affects Iran.

This is an interesting perspective - one I agree with. Indeed the West has moved the direction of the Old Soviet Union while Russia has moved the opposite direction.

I think Poland is going to surprise everyone and maybe the Czech Republic and one or two of the Baltic States. My wife is from Slovakia (a country I adore) but there is so much corruption there that they are going nowhere rather quickly. Keep your eyes on Poland, I have a feeling they are going places. As long as they don't turn into a racist, neo-nazi state they will be alright. That's the only worry I have for most of the eastern states. The Visegrad countries are onto a good thing as long as they don't let it run rampant.

Humor - my wife is from Romania :) - another place where Gov't corruption is rampant. Many of the issues in Romania can be linked to joining the EU. This was a license for large corporations to come in and begin raping the nation.

The US stands rather alone on the Iran deal. It's just them and their Jewish minions.

The Iranians captured all them puppetmasters in the US embassy, kicked out the US installed puppet, and pushed out the US backed up Iraqi chemical warmongers who were out to capture 2 of the Iranian oil rich provinces. If anybody lost in that fight, it was the US! lol

Them Americans still aint over it.

The American asses were controlling Iran. And at the end of it, they all got their asses whooped out of Iran in an utmost embarrassing way. And the US was totally powerless. Played like a child.

Yeah but that didn't stop the US from destroying Iranian ships that tried to play games in the Strait.

The ones that can't get over that incident are the Iranians. Bragging about what they got away with under a Democrat isn't much of an accomplishment. Democrats shouldn't even be allowed to conduct Foreign policy.

Looks like we controlled them with the tanker war.

Its a shame that you don't realize that we can roll over Iran in less than 90 days. But that is alright. We will keep those sanctions on them until they are devastated financially. Soon their money wont be worth a wooden nickel. LMAO

True, but even worse regarding NATO. With years of false promises by Radio Free Europe and the fall of the USSR the former Warsaw Pact countries were easy pickings for NATO.

Iran can't destroy Israel....yet. Moreover they don't even know when Israel invades their air space until after reading the news reports about it.

Well we are sanctioning them on their money maker. Which as usual.....they are running off at the mouth. Since they can't back up what they say out their pie holes.
