I mean seriously, it's almost taboo to even mention it. why is that? are we as Americans afraid to ask for and get this done?

What kind of "audit" do you people mean? The fed IS audited. The problem is that paranoid (*)(*)(*)(*)ing libertarians, because they are in thrall to wild conspiracy theories, don't trust the auditors unless its the one and only Ron Paul, Isolationist and Monetary Conspiracy Theorist.

if the fed was audited, alot of nasty things would come out of the woodwork! Everything from stock manipulations to shorting gold and silver.....there are many other things that would come to light. Heaven forbid the average Joe finds out the truth!

what has been happening over the last 20 years is not normal. I remember durung the tech bubble after it bursts everyday at around 1PM magically the markets would start to rebound again. This is not normal....and always around the same time....if you doubt, next time there is a major drop in the markets ( 400 points or more) watch at around 1PM to 2 PM....it always rallies.

Nothing will come up with a Federal Reserve audit. It is presumably a philosophical decision to set interest rates. Any evidence of collusion will have been shredded (physically and electronically). Wall Street valuations are pure auction. You might pay one million US dollars for a baseball card, however, another person would put it out with the trash. The day of this reckoning is the EVENT.

In my opinion, some of our elected representatives to government would be more credible, if they had also requested an audit of our War on Drugs as well.

You don't need any documents to follow where our future tax money goes and where past money it went. .

I'm with you. but the audit is a valuable chess move to expose the fruad so ending it will be that much easier.

    Ron Paul is a genius.

Yeah, let's interject politics into decisions about money supply, and the politics of kooks and gold bugs like Ron Paul to boot. That's a good idea.

Not half as infantile and ignorant as the gold bugs make themselves look.

Injecting politics into monetary policy, especially the politics of a fool like Ron Paul, with his discredited view of the Constitution and modern economic theory, is the worst idea conservatives have come up with since they claimed cutting taxes on Paris Hilton's chihauhau would create jobs.

And this from a movement whose fulltime job seems to be generating foolish ideas.

why do you believe that if the Fed is one of the few public sector means of production that functions as a profit center instead of a cost center?

Setting the Standard of money is a power delegated to our federal Congress, for the Union.

Tell us, what makes money a commodity so different from every other commodity that it needs to be controlled by a central planning authority and no version of it in use other than what the government tells you that you may use?

If government declared that all energy must be solar and wind and all other forms of energy be prohibited for use, you'd be screaming.
