Gilmore is not a TE. He's a shutdown CB.

My mistake, I was thinking of Dwight Allen , he's a money TE.

Yea. I like him and his size, but remember the two TE set when we had Hernandez? Someone fast and smaller that could line up in the backfield? Caused TOTAL chaos for defenses. That's what I'm looking for

Look at Foles numbers in the same system with a far worse cast. The Eagles receiving core was and still is one of the worst in the NFL. Kelly's offense can lead you to believe fools gold if you arent careful. High % first read throws and a pretty good goalline offense but it doesn't that really move the ball down the field or scares defenses.

You can't vote or celebrate the 4th of July? Really?

Good point about Canada, though. I completely forgot they did this too. I personally don't even care that they play the National Anthem, I just hate how people are acting like not standing is the must evil thing you can do as a human being. It's a song at a football game, it's not like he's shooting up troops or anything.

Lack of interest in hiring him could either be because his skills have atrophied or because he is bad for business (and thats what football is, a business). It certainly seem unlikely that he has been frozen out considering that the NFL hired Michael Vick, a man that tortured and killed animals via electrocution, hanging, drowning, and body slamming.

Read an article today, Kap is asking to 9-10 million and a chance to start. That's why he's on unemployment and will remain there.

Considering Mike Glennon got $43.5 million to be on the Bears for 3 years and is expected to be the week 1 starter, that's just absurd, especially since Glennon has never started a full 16-game season.

No one wants a rabble rousing, mediocre, trouble maker in their huddle, no matter how much the "Hate America" crowd loves him.

So we'll accept a mediocre non-winning QB with no real success on his resume instead. That or sign a convicted felon with dogfighting charges and potential STDs instead.

Who's "we"? You own an NFL team? Owners do not want to piss off fans, which Kaepernick absolutely does.

Owners don't want to piss off fans, which didn't stop the Eagles from signing Michael Vick when he was fresh out of jail nor did it stop fans from bashing him repeatedly.

The NFL having, despite its popularity, is having a couple identity problems. They had to deflect the whole Ray Rice issue. There are safety issues. They're trying to pretend like they give a **** while saying we don't give a **** about the Redskins name.

Right now, Colin Kaepernick is a problem most teams don't want. I'm sure he'll get signed as the season gets close, but most teams don't want to let him use them as a soapbox then have to deal with the backlash. I live in Texas. It's about as conservative as you can get here. He said he wouldn't kneel this year, but if he did it would raise holy hell around town.

Fair enough, but the timing is suspect. I laud him for the donation but I despise the fact he did it after being let go and after he realized his mistake of pissing off half the country. Talent or lack of he's radio active. If I were an owner I wouldn't let him near my locker room even if I had Josh McCown as my QB.

Any team that picks him up, I will make it a point to avoid watching them.

Sure I can and do, but I hardly think standing and showing reverence for America's symbol of freedom for 2 minutes is 'superficial'. Believe it or not people in born in the USA have hit the birth lottery, any wonder millions are trying to come here?

Strange, I'd probably sign him BECAUSE I had Josh McCown in my locker room.

Since you're in Texas, how did everyone feel about having Greg Hardy on the team for a year, given that he and Ray Rice were in trouble for the exact same thing?

What teams are Rice or Hardy playing for now? Face it the league is changing.

The team of unemployment. Not that it stopped the Cowboys from signing Hardy in 2015, well after his case and Ray Rice's and he got his suspension dropped from 10 games to 4.

Nah, the league has no issue looking the other way when it comes to players who do criminal things, some of them anyway.

Greg Hardy was a Cowboy. I'm in Houston. The situations were different. Ray Rice didn't get into real trouble until the video surfaced.

No NFL team will go near either player at this point.

At least not for Ray Rice. Hardy got signed by the Cowboys a year after the initial situation occurred and originally had a 10 game suspension, but then it got bumped down to 4, so he got to play despite the incident.

That is strange, right now I can't see any GM sign someone that is so controversial, his penance was somewhat superficial. Did he really regret his actions because his career hit a roadblock or is he sorry for offending millions that served and protected that anthem? That remains to be seen. I'm all for 2nd chances, with remorse.
