Insurance said that the anesthesiologist is not in network.
Why should I go through this?
I am paying for Medicare for old people and I also have to be humiliated and defrauded by private insurances?
The only reason this system is established is to commit a fraud, there is no way it helps people of an economy.
The system is siphoning trillions of dollars to the pockets of 1% of population, killing people along the way.

 

Is health care a right? It should be. Let's ask each of us a simple question. Say you are walking down the road and you see a person that is hurt. Do you help them or not? Most of us would.

You are confused. It is not that anesthesiology is not covered by insurance, because it is. What you are seeing when you talk about this happening all the time, is typically a separate bill where you owe a coinsurance rate for anesthesia for anywhere between 10-40% of the cost of that anesthesia. You pay other coinsurance rates, copays, deductibles etc for the entire procedure, but it is confusing because anesthesia comes separately. If in your specific case they mistakenly coded the anesthesiologist as being out of network from your in-network hospital, a simple phone call will remedy that situation. It is not uncommon at all to get different facility and physician bills depending upon the procedure performed, and often times that anesthesiology group is a separate entity from the hospital where the procedure was performed.

The complexity with anesthesiology being different from the hospital causes problems for both Medicare as well as private insurance. Some things are complicated in this world. Just because it confuses you, does not mean that it is therefore fraud.
