Is it me or are liberals now routinely anti Christian and anti Semitic?

Why are you trying to deflect away from Luther by bringing up Jefferson - a fellow who passionately worked to end slavery.
Luther on the other hand was a religious nut who hated individual liberty.

You really have a warped concept of individual liberty

The 10c are a nearly childish attempt compared to the product of various other sources both here and throughout the world. It's not even a fair representation of Christianity.

Don't worship idols, don't covet various stuff, don't commit adultry, don't kill, don't lie, don't steal????

That is your idea of a moral code?

Never mind the fact that Hammurabi's law code existed centuries prior to the 10 commands. .. .but hey .. lets not give that guy any credit.

Hammurabi's law code was quite sophisticated. There was welfare for widows and the poor. If a farmer had a bad crop year - he was entitled to an interest free loan for the next year to get him back on his feet.

Whats that you say ?? The Babylonians had a banking system in 1800 BC ? ... absolutely they did.

The Israelite's were very primitive by comparison.

if there is another source of morality vaguely comparable to Christianity (which teaches the 10 commandments to billions of children) why cant you tell us what it is??? See why we say liberalism is based in pure ignorance. Please keep in mind that after Roman morality there was only Christian morality ie "love thy neighbor as thyself". Do you understand?

actually Hammurabi did not take over the Roman Empire and teach the West a new morality. See why we say liberalism is based in pure ignorance? What other conclusion is possible?

Jefferson did not even free his slaves when he died. But that did not stop him from teaching freedom to billions any more than Luthers anti semitiism stopped him from teaching freedom and liberty to billions. Too complicated for the gifted one to grasp? Sad.

What does the above comment have to do with the fact that Hammurabi's law code existed prior to the 10 commandments ?

There is ignorance afoot .. of the most disingenuous kind but, it has nothing to do with liberalism in this case.

I admit that I am having trouble grasping how some people can be so lacking in intelligence. Prove your claim that Luther taught individual liberty to the masses.

You keep making claims without support. I have said to you numerous times that an argument consists of 2 things 1) a claim 2) evidence to back up that claim.

Is this too much for you to grasp ?

Jefferson taught with Declaration, Jesus/Luther taught with 10 Commandments though all supported slavery. Still over your head?

the gifted one has learned 7 times now that our subject is not when morality began but who taught to the most people. Shall we go for 8??

As stated previously .. the 10 commands did not teach individual liberty.

Jefferson did not support slavery .. which is why he worked to end it. Jefferson inherited slaves .. he had no realistic way to free them .. and he did in fact free slaves in his will.

Luther on the other hand was a piece of human garbage - he hated individual liberty and wanted to force his religious beliefs on others through physical violence.

Your posts keep getting more foolish and circular.

    1) the topic is individual liberty .. not "morality in general" but nice try at moving the goal posts.
    2) Your claim that Luther taught "billions" individual liberty is hilarious nonsense and patently false.

Another post full of falsehood and fallacy. Teaching someone about individual responsibility and relationship with God does not necessarily teach anything about individual liberty.

Does an Imam teaching people that their relationship with God requires them to agree with Sharia teach them about individual liberty ? 1+1=2.

Yet another nonsense post trying to defend scum bucket Luther who hated individual liberty and taught the opposite.

I have given the reasons numerous times .. and you know it. Luther taught the opposite of individual liberty.

How so in good moral conscious ? when they would just be enslaved by someone else .. someone likely to be far more nasty to them.

    Think .. use brain .. remember 1+1=2

of course it does it teaches them they as individuals have the liberty to obey the commandments or not, to built a relationship with God or not. The Romans did not teach that? Now do you understand?

got it so he kept his slave to be nice to them and they wanted to be kept??

Of the over 600 people Jefferson owned, he formally freed only seven. During his lifetime, Jefferson freed two enslaved men. At his death, Jefferson bequeathed freedom to five men in his will, two of them were his sons Madison and Eston Hemings. At least three other slaves were unofficially freed when Beverly Hemings, Harriet Hemings, and James (son of Critta Hemings Bowles) were allowed to leave Monticello without pursuit.

LOL .. what a bunch of nonsense. You have no understanding of individual liberty .. despite having it explained to you numerous times.

The Roman's followed most of the 10 commands. Can you manage a post without falsehood and/or fallacy ?
