You're simply wrong that liberals blame Bush for the debt today. It is true that Bush inherited a surplus budget yet ran up about $5 trillion more debt over his term. But Reagan and Bush 1 were also primary instigators of the debt problem. Under them, the debt quadrupled from $1 trillion to $4 trillion, and the interest on their debt has compounded as well. As to the current level of debt, you'd also have to include the current Tea Party Republicans who control the House, and their obstructionist in any kind of a compromise that would reduce the deficits.
Spending decreased from 2009 to 2010, and only marginally increased in 2011. You are joking, right? If not, what data are you relying on to make that assertion. Of course. Bush inherited a surplus budget and a debt that was decreasing. Obama inhereted a budget that already had a trillion dollar deficit and the biggest recession in 80 years. How could you possibly expect Obama would not have run up more debt under those circumstances?
LOL, and in what school were you taught that that controlling Congress constitutes controlling 2/3 of the government?
Why stop there? Shoot, just count members. That why you have 535 representatives and only one president, sure fire proof that Congress controls the Government, right?
The blame Bush card was fine in 2008. It was even fine up through 2010. But it's been 3 and a half years. You've had enough time, guy. Anything wrong today is your fault. It's time to start taking some responsibility for it.
Why would you think that the housing crisis could be resolved in 3 years, or even 5 years, and what is your plan to "fix" it?
It shouldn't have been a problem in the first place. Buying a home shouldn't have become a near "right". Government telling banks to offer people loans everyone knew they would never pay back shouldn't have happened. Oh and then the banks were bailed out. Typical liberal politics.
takes longer for dems to fix the problems then it did for republicans to create the problems.... especially with repubs still causing problems and bent on making Obama a one term president for the last 3 years
people were paying their loans just fine until their jobs were shipped overseas by the great holy job creators republicans are always bowing too
I agree it shouldn't have been a problem in the first place. I disagree it was liberal politics. And you did not respond to my post.
They are too job creators... just ask all those kids stitching up shoes and t shirts in Indonesia... or the slave labor in the Iphone sweatshops in China... we will be up for those jobs as soon as they tear down human rights in this country to a point where we are cheaper labor than our competitiors.
Folks on both the Left and Right should take a little stroll through the following GPO publication and get a feel for just how complex the housing bubble and eventual financial meltdown really was. Everyone wants to blame the other political ideology and their representative politicians but the reality is, the roots of the crisis went way beyond such lame finger pointing. http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/GPO-FCIC/pdf/GPO-FCIC.pdf Go ahead - don't be afraid. I guarantee you'll be able to cherry-pick a most satisfying quantity of ammunition to hurl at your enemies. Unfortunately, you may also come face to face with some rather unpleasant contributions served up by your own political persuasion. You may even come to the startling realization that there was a good deal more than partisan politicians and their pet ideologies to blame. .
The idiots who blame Bush are the same idiots who claim 9/11 was a false flag operation to invade foreign countries.
The idiots who say the idiots who blame Bush are the same idiots who claim 9/11 was a false flag operation to invade foreign countries are the same idiots who claim Obama is a Muslim born in Keyna.
