The hat has become a symbol of negativity in America. It's as if you openly wore a swastika in Germany today, you will get the living daylights beat out of you. The red hat stands for another time period in America that we have long advanced past. It stands for the fear of the browning of America (like the whitening of America in the 19th and 20th centuries wasn't a big deal) and there is a lot of stereotyping different nationalities and people behind that hat. It's pointing a middle finger at indigenous people and Hispanics. It's no better than a shirt openly displaying to kill cops.

“Symbol of negativity” that’s a matter of ones perspective right? The Swastika has millions of deaths associated with it whereas a MAGA hat doesn’t. Just sorta seems like fighting stereotyping by stereotyping to make all those assumptions based solely on a hat. As far as wearing a shirt displaying to kill cops compared to a MAGA hat, one leaves no room for interpretation while the other does.

During the 2016 primaries there were many Trump supporters harassed and threatened by leftist thugs brainwashed by the media.

In fact, the REASON I became a Trump supporter was when Trump was forced to cancel his Chicago rally for these threats to his supporters. They successfully took away Trump's freedom of assembly and free speech rights. And threats and attacks on supporters happened many times during the primaries.
