A jerk is someone who thinks Fox is "fair and balanced" even after all the history behind them for YEARS.

Their commentary is right wing slanted though not as much as many believe.

But I've seen no evidence that the actual news they deliver is biased.

The constitution is fine. If congress is weak and complicit with an incompetent and/or criminal president then the responsibility lies with the people.

If anything the constitution is to strong for a weak electorate.

I agree with the commentary by and large so I am biased in that regard. But why are people in the media not allowed to have an opinion? Don't know if you are old enough to remember how biased most of the media was against President Reagan or not.

I'm old enough to remember Eisenhower.

Fox News is responsible for spreading the following

    “millions of illegal immigrants voted!”

“people without health insurance can get treated at an ER”

    "regulations kill jobs"

    "free, unregulated businesses police themselves”

"free, unregulated competition produces the best, safest, least expensive goods"

"the only thing that can stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun"

    Obama was born in Kenya

that voter fraud is a serious problem

    that ACORN committed voter fraud

that Planned Parenthood profits from marketing fetus parts

that man has no role in climate change

    that money is speech

that Social Security's trust fund is filled with worthless "IOUs"

that privatizing as much as possible is good

that Obamacare is worse than what preceded it

that Obamacare is a socialist program

that the separation of church and state violates the 1st Amendment

that Fox "News" reports fair and balanced news

that increasing CO2 is good because plants need it

that a "free market system" is possible

    that taxes are too high

that corporations pay a tax rate of 35%

that Obama and his policies are Marxist

    that Hitler was a socialist

that fascism is a left wing phenomenon

that more money in the hands of the top 1% will create jobs

that if the debt ceiling is not raised, debt will not go any higher

that if we end food stamps, welfare, and other entitlements people will get jobs

that it would be beneficial to eliminate the minimum wage

Obama is moving toward Sharia law

Obama works with the Muslim Brotherhood

Michelle and Barack did a "communist fist bump".

    Obama is a "Muslim"

    and the unemployed are "lazy"

    Shirley Sherrod story

    and Obama "raised taxes"

    and "death panels"

and "Obama is spending us into a ditch!" while the deficit shrinks each year

    and "government is bad"

and Reagan’s tax cuts resulted in increased revenues

Several of those are completely accurate.
    1) Tax revenues doubled during the Reagan admin.
    2) People without health insurance can indeed be treated at the ER. I know this from personal experience.
    3) The Nazi Party had "socialist" as part of its title.
    4) The Supreme Court agrees that money is speech.

And FoxNews never promoted those claims about President Obama.

That's the problem. The Republicans in Congress don't seem to be able to understand that what is happening is dangerous for our Democracy. They really are the only thing standing between a collapse of the democracy we have and something that resembles Russia. THEY unfortunately are the only check on the Executive right now.

    Only "several"?

Revenues almost always increase (except in times of massive Recession like 2008). While revenues did increase...debt TRIPLED (and lets not forget that Reagan doubled payroll taxes on the middle class and poor).

ER is NOT a good healthcare option

North Korea calls themselves "Democratic" as well

Regardless of what the corporatist SC says...most people don't believe that corporations are people or that money is speech

If money isn't speech, why do politicians need so much of it? If corporations aren't people, how does one sue one? I know, details, right?

    Kode, I didn't realize what a constitutional.scholar you are

The Washington Post doesn't agree with you though. It seems that their legal anyalists don't think it is very clear whether there is a violation.

So I have a terrific solution. There is currently a lawsuit that's going to slowly work it's way through. How about we get off the ledge and let the courts work it out?

Not really sure what you are on about, but why didn't you make your case in this OP? What has he received that would be in violation of the emoluments clause?

Sorry, but links don't count. They can be used to buttress an argument, but clickbait is clickbait. You gotta get people interested enough in your argument first, which you haven't done.

Subjective interpretations of the constitution is the weakness as we tend to view the constitution through a lens that most benefits the individual or political group.

I live on a planet that looks at links as something that might be worth clicking on, but might not.

You live on a planet where you are a known leftist who is angry that your candidate lost, and if you could find a clause in the constitution that says the president has to put his shoes on before his trousers, you'd be up in arms about it and demanding that we get angry about it too.

So far, nothing has been posted that could possibly be construed as something to worry about. Vague references to titles of nobility and presents, and a lot of righteous indignation about our constitution surviving, when everybody knows that you couldn't care less about the constitution. Links? lol!!!!

Hardly. The biggest threat to the constitution are liberal judges legislating from the bench and progressive congress critters that keep trying to take away freedoms protected by the constitution.

Our system is like a big ship. It reacts slowly but inexorably to critical stresses. It will take some time for the critical mass regarding Trump's unfitness for the job to become painfully obvious to almost everyone.
Each day brings a new irrational twitter rant, or lie, or flip flop excuse, or new crap policy based on ignorance or vengeance.
People are already tired of the drama queen posturing and the petulant whining and embarrassing threats and twitter rants.
I thought that Trump might be able to grow into the job once he understood the importance of it, but he has failed to evolve and only seems to be doubling down on all his worst habits while whining about how hard the job is.
    It can't end well.

Try to keep that from happening. If the federal courts drift too far to the left, it won't be pretty.

Yup. Tough to argue with facts.

Agreed. Actually, the current situation of justices on the High Court being willing to legislate from the bench and Congress being unwilling and/or unable to legislate effectively, that is a huge threat to the Constitution. The balance of power only works when there's a balance of power. At the moment, the legislative branch is much too weak, and the judicial branch is not acting within its proper bounds.

    Ohhh no!

I'm a "known leftist". Will there be a knock at my door in the middle of the night?

And obstruction of Justice and witness intimidation are "high crimes and misdemeanors"
