I don't know what pure science is either because it does not exist. There is a continuum between science and technology. It is impossible to draw a line and say this is one and this is the other except in the broadest sense. AGW is more in the technology sector with all the unknowns.

That is avoiding the subject. The problem with the technology is we don't how big an effect man has had and how much we can change it and we don't know how accurately we can forecast it. Too many assumptions and approximations and no way to verify it.

Volcanoes only produce a tiny fraction of C02 in the region 0.2 billion tons per year.

We have NEVER BEFORE seen temperature RISE AS STEEPLY as this and reach this peak is such a SHORT TIME FRAME.
