We Christians believe that Jesus is the ONLY WAY. Well, perhaps we all don't so I'd like to find out why some Christians believe that there are or may be other Paths. Please back it up with scripture Christians or provide some other evidence other than it is your hope or you don't want to appear not to be politically correct.

So there is an Episcopalian Priest, he has worked his whole life for his beliefs. He has given to the poor, helped the sick. He has married his flock and given wise guidence. He has raised money to help others less fortunate and been honest and faithful to everyone, especially his wife.

One day he dies. He shows up at the pearly gates of heaven and St. Peter looks at him and says, now to answer the question you have always wondered about... The answer is..... Baptist, you chose wrong.... and in a flash he is burning in hell.

That is religion, a bunch of stupid rituals and chants and ways that some people a thousand years ago decided was the way to control people and guilt them into giving them money. And each one says they are right and all the others are wrong.

Morality and Ethics are based upon logic. The wisdom on religious parables is based on logic. The golden rule does not even mention God.

I am not saying all religion is bad. Until you decide to start killing others for religious purposes, it can do good things. Hey, if you run a soup kitchen to help the poor, good for you. I don't care if you put a cross in front of the table, you are doing a good thing.

But in my opinion, it is also a bunch of mumbo jumbo designed to make people feel loved, which we all want to be. So many like the idea of a magical being who loves them. But just because it feels good, does not make it true. I like watching star wars, that does not mean that it is true or that the force is with me.

Logic will fail you upon taking your last breath, so don't count on your earthly wisdom. Golden Rule? You follow that?

Why is it that the naysayer has contempt for God, for the Holy Bible, for their fellow man? Why is that? Fear, perhaps?

Foolish is the man that refuses a free gift but willing to suffer for being obstinate.

Think about this. You've committed a crime. Your advocate tells you he'll plead himself guilty and suffer the punishment in your stead. You tell him no deal. You think you can beat the charge. Next thing you remember is you've just taken your last breath after serving a lifetime of hell. Now the real Hell begins. And you, oh you were so wise and logical. Now you're helpless and without hope FOREVER.

And all you had to do was accept that free gift. What were you thinking?

I suppose you have a point, but I've not a clue what it is. Is Hollywood your God?

I'm a naysayer and would never be so foolish as to have contempt for a fantasy. Why do you feel compelled to go on and on trying pitifully to belittle those who disagree with you? You don't seem very secure in your beliefs.

    Enjoy yourself, though.

I wonder I do believe that the Bible is the divinely inspired book of God. But I do not believe in Sola Scriptura. So where do I stand in your poll?

So God gave me a brain and made humans intelligent enough to figure out how the universe works, but he wants us to not use it and believe in stories written down by guys in the dark ages depicting events hundreds of years before their time and expoused by organizations that claimed to know everything when they were killing people for saying the earth was not the center of the universe.

And yes, the Golden Rule is philosophically correct.

Maybe because we constantly have people tell us we are doomed for eternal torture in hell from their loving God because we have used the brain that they believe thier God gave us.

Tell you what, the next time a burning bush starts talking to me, I will change my mind.

Until then, just remember, that there are many people in this world who think you will be burning in hell for all eternity too. I am not one of them.. I think you will never know that you are wrong because upon your death, your brain will stop functioning and you body will rot in the ground. That's it.
