    I'm looking, I can't find.

    - Despite a major crisis, Biden's approval rating is 10% better (47.6%) than Trump's at the same point in his presidency (37%).

    - For now, the chances are greater that the Senate and House will remain under Democratic control in 2022.

    - When the evacuation in Afghanistan is over, voters' attention will turn to the economic recovery. And growth is on track with +6.5% in the last quarter, +980,000 jobs added.

    - Despite the fact that 60% of voters believe it would be bad for the country if he ran again, Trump refuses to leave the public arena. His cult following is still very strong, so no candidate dares campaign to succeed him.

    - Even if DeSantis decided to run, he would first have to neutralize Trump - aka publicly criticize him and dismantle the Big Lie - which would cause open warfare within the GOP.

    - 55% of Republicans still believe that the election was rigged and therefore, a good portion of them will not vote in the future. Considering that they are already a minority in the country, the Big Lie will permanently torpedo their chances of mobilizing their electorate.

    - Internal migration in the country makes it extremely difficult for a Republican to win the WH. Newcomers to Georgia, Texas and Arizona are more liberal. The numbers are the same for the next generation.

The Democrats are in a strong position in virtually every political sphere and I don't see this trend being reversed in the near future.

You are probably right about the next election. The democrats will win regardless of how people vote.

The good news for Conservatives is that they are not liberals.

More good news for conservatives is that they aren't Trumpists.

There is great news everyday. While I am not a conservative, the abuse of power and overreach by the dems help the pendulum swing a bit faster. With the government consuming even more of the fruits of our labor, screwing the Afghan pooch, crime, poop, poverty, homelessness, illegal immigration, and record levels of illness, it is just not sustainable.

US troops weren't blown up under Republicans' watch? Did I miss something the last 20 years?

No. I simply fail to believe that our election systems are secure. They used to be reasonably close to being secure. Now with wholesale ballot mailing, allowing people to print their own ballot from a web site, ballot harvesting etc. I no longer consider them to be secure in some states. But it is your problem not mine. I'm not a voter.

DCAS Reports - Active Duty Deaths by Year and Manner (osd.mil)

The data is interesting. The above is from 1980 to 2010, and there was one president that fits the bill, no pun intended. There was only one military death from hostile action during Clinton's entire term. The Kosovo war was executed brilliantly. Like his predecessor, Clinton got in, achieved the objective, and got out. It took a bit longer than the Gulf War, but we suffered no fatalities.

The obvious difference between Reagan/Bush/Clinton and now is nation building. We lost 143 troops in the Gulf War. Too many, but the war was a success. Zero deaths in Kosovo, yet we don't talk about the Gulf War nor Kosovo. We should look to our successes to find answers, rather than dwell on Vietnam and our failures.

Notably, only 58 hostile military deaths during the Reagan years (only the last year of Carter is included, zero deaths.) So, we had a period from 1975 to 2001 when we were at relative peace, and the only two significant military exercises were highly successful with minimal casualties.

I can't stand Al Gore, but I wonder what our history would have been had the neocons not acquired power.

To add some color commentary, the U.S. did not deploy any ground troops to Kosovo. If it had, there would have been casualties. All we did was to bomb targets that didn't have effective defenses against air attacks. It was a risk averse involvement which is typical for the U.S. since WWII.

When you splatter feces all over the wall like that it makes it difficult to respond. How about you make a specific criticism that can be discussed in detail.

Are you worried? You should be. You have to overcome a senile president who killed us with inflation, blew up Afghanistan, flooded us with illegals which is spreading the virus you say we’re all going to die from, ain’t stopping crime, and gave us Kamala Harris.

Ok. Since you brought up feces, lets go with that. Dems claim to be the party for the less fortunate, but where they have complete control, people have to sleep and poop on the sidewalk.

Really? Your criticism is there are homeless people?

New Executive Order Addresses Urgent Health and Housing Needs of People Experiencing Homelessness

How Biden stimulus bill will target homelessness
The president wants to get 130,000 people off the street in the next 12 to 18 months.

Housing Secretary Marcia L. Fudge on Thursday unveiled nearly $5 billion in new grants to states and local governments across the country for rental assistance, the development of affordable housing and other services to help people experiencing or on the verge of homelessness.

The infusion of money to reduce homelessness, part of the $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package that President Biden signed last month, is the latest example of how the administration is using the American Rescue Plan to enact a sweeping anti-poverty agenda amid the pandemic.
