I have enjoyed Justin Raimondo's writing ever since I first read it. I agree with his take on things and he is right on in this article. We have spent billions in aid to Israel, and this transfer of wealth from our country to that one doesn't benefit the American citizens who fund it one iota. I don't see any valid reason why we keep supporting Israel. I oppose foreign aid in the first place, and have always questioned the vast amounts going to Israel from US taxpayers. I understand there is a religious element involved since Christians always seem to support us giving all this money to Israel, but religion isn't a valid reason to do it. Justin Raimondo describes my own opinion of this waste and and seems to have a good handle on the situation in the Middle East. http://original.antiwar.com/justin/2011/11/03/israels-big-bluff/
Currently AIPAC is lobbying to pass a law that forbids diplomacy with Iran.. Can you imagine? But, some Israelis... like former Mossad Chief Meir Dagan have other ideas. http://www.politicalforum.com/curre...nity-not-logic-guides-israels-leadership.html If you remember Dagan.. in late 2002 he told the world that Iraq had NO WMDs.
