In keeping with the current fad of the radical left, the name "Democrat Party" ought to be changed and banned. Names (and statues) that have ties to racism and slavery are dyeing right and left (no pun intended). The name that epitomizes this is "Democrat."

Democrats were the party of slavery, the party of Jim Crow, the party of poll taxes and intelligence tests as requirements to keep Blacks from voting, the party that spawned the KKK as an adjunct wing of the party, and the party that refused to condemn lynchings. The first real Democrat progressive president, Woodrow Wilson, was an ardent racists and re-segrated the federal government. A Democrat Chief Justice ruled on the Dred Scott case. The Democrats were behind Plessy v. Ferguson and separate but equal. Democrats blocked school house doors to blacks and attacked them with Billy clubs and fire hoses. A Democrat Justice was once the lawyer for the KKK. A Democrat Senator who was minority leader, majority leader and President pro tem was earlier an exalted cyclops of the Ku Klux Klan The Democrats fought vigorously and filibustered against both the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act of 1964 and 1965, and Eisenhower's civil rights bill of 1957. It was a Democrat Governor that forced Ike to call out the 101st Airborne so some black girls could go to school in Little Rock. And on and on.

There is no name more closely linked to racism and slavery then "Democrat Party." Time for it to come down, don't you think?

    This supplements Foolardi's thread.

Since there no such thing as the Democrat Party, what is the problem?
What con artists willfully fail to acknowledge is the racist movement is owned by the right. So at one time the racist right
was associated with the Democratic Party, and now the racist right is associated with the Republican Party.

What an original argument! We haven't heard this "The Democrats are the racist" more than 2 or 3,000 times as the right-wing tries to get everyone to ignore the past 1/2 century.

Democrats are still racist, they just changed the target. Which is why the alt-right was born. The Left literally dragged America back, happy about that?

I think it comes from right-wing delusion and their attempt to pretty much erase the past 50 years during which time the south switched to the welcoming arms of the "modern" GOP.

This makes me dizzy, but I do not think racism can be classed as right or left.

That which coincided with the astronomical drop in racism in the South? Huh.

He is right, though. The Democratic party and those on the left are very hostile towards normal white males.

Only the Left could insult a lot of people, and call them delusional for feeling insulted. Let me put it this way: Even *IF* Trump's popularity wanes further, gets impeached, etc, we'll see a major decrease in voting in the 2020 elections. More people will simply stay home if there are no good representatives. We're regressing back to the 1990's of political indifference.

I wasn't banning the party but the name. The current radical left thing to do is ban the name of a park or school, say, but not the actual park or school.

Only the left? Really? Do you honestly believe that because that takes some industrial grade blunting.

LBJ began the War on Poverty in the sixties. He promised blacks would never vote Republican again. He built projects and encouraged fatherless homes through welfare incentives. The government is a new type of plantation and Washington establishment is the "plantation owners". The Democrat Party is still the party of slavery. Nothings changed.

So, the minorities may feel offended towards Right opinions, but frankly they were offended the Right even exists. So even before and if the alt-right were never born, the newly growing constituency would still feel morally offended. This was the consensus view of everyone non-left, prior to the rise of Trump. I concurred based on the facts on the ground.

However, they/left turned that "moral offense" into a moral attack, demeaning a whole SWARM of innocent people who before the insults, weren't even political. Some of whom were formerly strongly Liberal(myself being one of them.) But I'm not going to participate in my own degradation.

Stop the insults, and you'll stop the alt-right in the process. That might however be a strong concession for you.

You, sir, in my humble opinion, are the kind of Nationalist that Theodore Roosevelt was, which, is the reasonable Nationalist. In fact, Roosevelt was a Progressive. But maybe not a Marxist progressive, or whatever they are now. Its very confusing. There was a previous group of malcontents "Decolonize This Place" advocating removal of a Roosevelt statue from the American Museum of Natural History in New York. This was during Oct 2016. Ironic is it not?

Edit: I'm responding to American Nationalist here, I could not get the quote button to work for some reason
