    Lamar Alexander, Mike Enzi and Pat Roberts are retiring in 2020. Joni Ernst and Susan Collins are vulnerable, and Moscow Mitch is on shaky ground. Anonymity would give a lot of fence-sitters plausible deniability.

    During her October deposition to the House Intelligence Committee, Yovanovitch told U.S. Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) under oath, about the email she received Congressional staffer, Laura Carey, adding that she never responded to it.

    “In fact, it turns out that she did respond. In fact, she said she ‘looked forward to chatting with you’ to that staffer. And as Congressman Zeldin pointed out, the ambassador’s original answer, which was dishonest, was given under oath.” And that, folks, is called, “perjury.”

    It's quoted. It's called perjury.

    She was misleading by omission, but she never said she never responded to the FIRST email...

    Fail... and really pitiful this is your best defense of Trump

    He did withhold the money and he asked for an investigation of Burisma at the same time...

    Since tubby won't send anybody to contradict that, we are going with the facts in front of us...

    I don't think the sweet spot has yet been absolutely hit, but I reckon that will come when Sondlands gives evidence and when that staffer who overheard Trump and Sondlands gives evidence.

    What will your position be if Sondlands gives evidence that Trump did pause the aid as leverage to get Ukraine to investigate the Bidens, and to publicly announce that investigation? (We already know that Zelensky had agreed to go on CNN to make that announcement. That was cancelled as soon as the WB became known.)

    Bucky Badger...there is huge difference merely answering an email, and responding to it. You see examples of that here al the time, even with some of my posts addrssed to others. They do answer, but they do not respond.

    You make a good point, but the larger point is she didn't lie... her answer was misleading in that she didn't answer "Both", but this is in no way a lie

    You ask a 'this or that' question and get a 'that' answer, that doesn't mean 'this' didn't also happen. She could have done better, but this is no way perjury and no serious person would treat it as such.

    And then she didn't respond to the follow up email from the staffer, which hasn't been factually challenged..

    Correct. She lost to someone with no political experience, no political connections, spent much less as campaigns go and had the MSM destroying him 24/7. And she STILL LOST!! Hahahahahahahahah:)

    But she still destroyed evidence and was never seriously prosecuted. All swept under the rug. She still cries herself to sleep every night though.
