However, I think it's nice to know there are some Republicans with ethics and integrity. Trump specifically said that he will not endorse anyone that doesn't repeat the Big Lie. So, that means he wants people he (1) can manipulate, and (2) will choose him over their party and country. He is working to fill every layer of government and elections with his groupies. I also don't understand why anybody would choose him over our country as his relationships with others are always one-sided. He takes, takes, begs, takes some more. It never goes in the other direction. He even had the audacity to say that Pence running in 2024 is very disloyal. I would say that was off the table after he tried to get Pence assassinated. /smdh
I’ll never understand why people will choose hate of Trump over our country. It’s quite astounding how easily some have been convinced without evidence of so many lies about him. Regardless we will see in a couple days how our nation is feeling. It’s quite a toss up tbh more than many will admit.

It IS quite astounding how many followers he seems to have. Particularly since EVERYONE, I knew who supported him no longer does and there are NO new followers in my inner or outer circles. Americans are generally more concerned about pocketbook issues that's true but our immediate ancestors still went off to kill fascists in Europe quite readily and I don't think we've changed that much that we're about to let them take over from the inside now.
I watched the video and unsurprisingly since it is CNN, the video starts in a certain point where the editor wanted it to completely omitting whatever context may have been there. Why would they not play the video in it's entirety?
IMO the first thing Pence should have done should have been to charge Trump with his own attempted murder. If somebody tries to kill me I will see him in jail or know the reason why. I'm funny that way.

And many poor rural people and some seniors don't have Smartphones or know how to use the internet so they are likely unaware that SS and Medicare are on the chopping block if Rs win midterms. I don't necessarily blame them anymore than I would blame a rape victim for being assaulted. Trump has been committing crimes his whole life and is a master manipulator. His best tactic was coming out front with "fake news" because they now just ignore everything they don't like. It makes no sense for anybody to stand behind his insurrection attempt even if they believe the election was stolen. Attacking cops and threatening lawmakers is not the route to take to air one's grievances. Beyond that, several people in the mix have already said it's a lie. Holding onto Trump's repetition of the Big Lie doesn't make sense. Then, he literally stole classified documents and refused to relinquish them. Every citizen should recognize treason is one of the highest crimes someone can commit against their country. They have not been the least bit concerned about where the documents are and how our country is compromised by that unknown. They cheer for Russia (because Trump hates Zelensky) without a second thought that we are also a sovereign nation and could be invaded without provocation. Granted, we have a stronger military and more money but the concept of "us v. them" is the same. Hypothetically, are they going to band together to fight for our country or help any invaders? Only those of us familiar with rise of Hitler and/or have experience with con artists and mental illnesses can see how precarious our current position actually is. It will be way too late by the time he is ready to have them extinguished.

It is news for the following reasons: A. Rep. Dan Crenshaw is a conservative Republican who has at times clashed with members of his own party such as MTG and Lauren Boebert. B. It is basically stating to the MEGA faithful that the GOP representatives, senators, and candidates who have encouraged, promulgated, or advocated that the "election was stolen" always knew it was a lie and use that argument more as a political tactic than anything else. C. Those same representatives, senators, and candidates are basically laughing at the MEGA faithful who have committed crimes, were caught, tried or pled guilty, and sentenced for following that "advice."
