if you know about it, and you don't snitch to the cops, then you are guilty of what is called "misprision" of a felony", and you can get sentenced to many years in prison for it. 100's of things are felonies, and you don't know about half of them. For instance, it's a felony for you to have oral sex with your spouse, in at least one state. It was a felony when your mother kissed some kid in high school, too, in at least one state(Illinois). It's a felony in CA to carry a 2 edged knife, but legal to do so if it only has one edge!
Don't make the mistake of confusing archaic, unenforced legal verbiage that may still be "on the books" with the actual law.
