It's not the infringement, it's who is infringed.

The problem with harsh convictions etc, is the possibility of getting the wrong person.

So, we have institutionalized the concept of it being better to unjail 100, than to jail 1, unjustly.

BUT, as we face terrorism, the need arises to infringe. Honest citizens must be burdened, to ensure the safety of more.

The complaints about the no fly list, center around no accountability. Same with gun registration, and restricting registrations.

What is clear is, those wanting vetting, don't have the integrity to budget for it. That's why Watters talked about a Melxican TRAIL OF TEARS.
That's why Trump's BIGOT wall was all MEXICAN labor. ALL MEXICAN funding. Republicans want to bigot on the cheap.

So, the problem with the no fly list in general, and to include adding gun registration restriction to it, is persecution of the innocent.

How would a sane person guard against this? Add funding for a responsible entity, to further vett folks flagged.

Is this an imposition? Some. Do I care if terrorists had to stand on one leg all day? NOPE. If we made it known, that to remove yourself from that list is simple, easy and no risk, as we would only be looking for terrorists, no biggie. Would the questions be different if you had visited certain places? Or held certain online or elsewhere views? Sure.

    SO.

And, negative information is valuable. Those folks that don't challenge their inclusion on no fly list, can be considered worthy of surveillance.
