What their god and leader is moving onto is increased death count to save his presidency. He is riling up his sick followers , his people , the KKK the white supremacist and the Nazi party to get things going. Don't believe he would do that , then tell me why the death count is going through the ceiling because of his style of right wing actions.. I'm responding to this comment, not necessarily the poster, as I don't know where he/she stands on this issue. But I am surprised at how many comments express concern about cities being destroyed. Over the last few months, there have been all kinds of posts about letting 'left run cities' burn. Even threads on the US separating into two countries. So why, now, all the concern about left run cities? Why are folks who criticize those cities as liberal s-holes jumping to defend Trump's move as what needs to be done - to save the cities?

 

I think so. As an example, last weekend saw about 23 million in damage to Portland. That damage hurts people. It is the responsibility of the local government to prevent that sort of thing and correct it if they fail to prevent it. Nothing is more basic to government than protecting life, liberty and property. Government in the big cities has failed. Somebody needs to fix it. Since I can't fix it I approve of Trump trying to fix it. I tend to think that the residents of those cities probably approve of it as well. I have family members living in Beaverton and Hillsboro - Portland suburbs. I'm glad they don't live in Portland itself. It would cause me worry.
