The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention cited an unpublished study from India to justify its recommendation Tuesday that fully vaccinated people "wear a mask in public indoor settings in areas of substantial or high transmission" of COVID-19.

That study, which claimed the Delta variant produced an unusually large viral load in more than 100 vaccinated healthcare workers with "breakthrough infections," was listed as having failed peer review in the journal Nature when the CDC cited it.

All you are really telling us all is that either the vaccines don't work, or if they do work, it doesn't matter... the Authoritarians are going to force us to mask up anyways.

Beds are filling up once again with patients who contracted the delta variant and mostly those who are unvaccinated so please don't say it's not true when it is a fact.

 

Heh, so let met get this straight. One website, one part of a huge peer review chain, didn't give it a pass and so that means it has to be entirely invalidated? Mmmm, no. Doctors reviewing and revising and agreeing and disagreeing and forming a consensus over time is how medicine works.

 

And anyone who has two brains cells to rub together knew this was very likely as with the flu shot and still getting the flu. Most vaccinated people who do get the virus don't end up in a hospital taking up beds. Seems the unvaccinated by a very high percentage rate are ending up in hospitals and taking up beds that other folks who have other illnesses could be using. And it's only getting worse.

 

Where else was that paper published?

 

Maybe the government should stop lying and playing politics, then, and more people would trust the vaccines (which apparently don't work anyway).

Name a single part of this "huge chain" that has validated the claims from this single Indian study.

There is a name for folks who make national policy based on unvalidated single source studies. They are know as "fools".

Name the Doctors who have formed a consensus that this single study is valid.

Give me your understanding of "replication" and how it interacts with the confirmation process.

 

They don't work because a few people are getting sick with the virus? How many are ending up in a hospital compared to those people who are not vaccinated and got the virus? Wouldn't knowing that be important?

 

No, they apparently don't work because vaccinated people are now being advised to put the masks back on, lol. Which is it? Vaccines work and you don't need a mask, or you need a mask because the vaccines don't work?

Tell me what the average mask looks like .. how loose it is fitting - as people don't like the Darth vader experience. So while I appreciate the attempt to explain how a 3 ply mask works .. doesn't have much relevance to what is happening in the real world.

Given that I had my second dose in January, I'm six months removed from it. I'm getting worried. I wish a booster got authorized. Pfizer does say that there is evidence that a 3rd shot booster enhances immunity against the Delta. Of course it's in their commercial interest to say so, but this Delta is getting me nervous.

Today I was shopping in a supermarket with some 50 customers. I had a mask (N95) and I saw two other persons with cloth masks... Nobody else. The others were all maskless.

We're playing with fire.

 

Where are these beds filling up once again ? - and since Phizer is only 39% effective- think there is more than a few non vaxed in the bed .. and something is fishy given even a mild case of covid is going to cause some pheumonia -- for those succeptible .. vax or no vax.

From Day 1 these people knew that Americans are very emphatic about our "freedom" and enough people weren't going to shelter-in-place, mask up or get the vaccine to stop this in its tracks. This news didn't just fall from the sky. We are notoriously hard-headed and the slightest little thing that feels like "control" gets shot down straight-away even if it's for our benefit.

I have no idea what the real agenda is but I'm old enough to know "We're from the government and we are here to help" isn't anything like it sounds.

 

How would you know how many are in the hospital?

Most people just take medicine and stay home. That's what the doctor told me wife to do and got over covid quickly.

My Wife's friend is a nurse and the first time covid peaked in Iowa her hospital in Des Moines had only 7 covid patients. The rest of the hospital was empty due to only covid patients being seen. I found out when her friend said her hours was being cut due to lack of patients. This is when covid supposedly was really bad in America.

Then there was the videos of nurses dancing on Tik Tok due to lack of work.

I don't believe what the news is saying.
