    Melania is also scheduled to be deposed. The 58th Presidential Inauguration Committee coordinated with the Trump family to GROSSLY overpay for space in the Trump International Hotel is the contention of the D.C. lawsuit.

    Depositions typically are the first step in a law suit such as this.

    'Stop the Steal' members can learn a lesson or two here. This is how you gather evidence. These are depositions, not affidavits. This is real evidence.

    I think you missed my point. This is a lawsuit. Not a criminal trial. At most they will be fined, not go to prison as 61falcon is hoping.

    It depends what damages the plaintiff asks for. You might be correct, but if laws were broken, they may become exposed here.

    Exactly, this isn't anything major. And I bet we can find similar issues in similar transition parties. It's just, this one was Trump's...so yeah lol.

    The real question is if they fess up to the crime or try to lie their way out of it.

    This particular case, perhaps not, but I'm thinking this is just the beginning of a pattern. And why didn't Ivanka just pay them? If this is a civil suit seeking only monetary damages, why would Trump risk going to trial and exposing herself? That is the opposite of her father's behavior. Gotta be something I'm missing here.
