Its not a question of decency at all. Ivanka is a member of the Administration. She has represented the nation on the international stage. She is as legitimate a target for criticism as any other member.

She doesn't get a pass just because he BOSS is also her father. And she is a constant reminder that Daddy maneuvered around the nepotism regs to her the job.

Id like to point out the obvious that Ivanka is 36 and has been involved in the Campaign and now administration as well as having international business dealings. Its not like she is just living her own life and detached from the Presidency

Obama's daughters were under 18 and not politically involved

Please don't point out false equivalencies to trump supporters. It irks them and undercuts their argument.

No, Just check out the FLOTUS threads on this board. There was a post just the other day dissing Malia becaus of her hairdo. Meanwhile Ivanka gets a walk even when she is up to her plastic surgery eyebrows in Russian money laundering

Liberals, typically, believe that a problem can be solved--or, at least, substantially attenuated--simply by throwing money at it...

And just how, precisely, are Ivanka Trump and her husband "actively going around peddling their positions for financial gain"?

Have we reached a new era--one which was never contemplated during the presidency of JFK; or of Ronald Reagan; or even of George W. Bush?

And the right believes that problems will go away if they with hold funds

    Your point?

    I thought it was self-evident.

But I will spell it out for you.

Government spending is not the source of social-problem solving...

Neither is ignoring social issues and hoping the magic fairies will wish problems away

No, I certainly do not believe in "magic fairies."

But to present that as the only alternative to lavish government spending is to create a false alternative...

Hmmmmmm and what is your government debt at the moment??

Perhaps you prefer to spend the money on tax cuts for the rich?

No such thing as spending money on tax cuts. That's just lefty spin to make it sound like they have an actual point.

Of course it's spending money when there are important things that need funding for a society to remain competitive, healthy, safe, functioning and to insure a place that offers a chance at a better life for all.

If you are awarding tax cuts then that is money that would have otherwise been in the government coffers. No different to spending money

But instead we are taking tax payers money to pay for housing illegal alien criminals and their children at the border because the Democrats still have the welcome mat out at the southern border.

If Trump believes the Democrats are really running the government he should step aside and stop obstructing the 'real government'.

I prefer to have tax cuts across the board--"the rich," the middle class, and the poor would all benefit.

But I really do not see tax cuts as a form of "government spending." (For openers, it is fallacious to imagine that the peoples' money ultimately belongs to the government; and that the government--graciously--just allows us to keep whatever portions that it deems acceptable.)

Moreover, I believe that tax cuts--up to a certain point, anyway--actually stimulate the economy, thereby causing more consumer spending; and therefore, more government receipts. (See the Laffer Curve.)
