Do they have to lie to themselves and convince themselves that untruths are truths or was 1984 actually a history book?

It does have a bit of the too little too late flavor to it, doesn't it?

Please work on those comprehension skills.

I did not state that he originated it, but I am 100% correct that he said it.

You people work so incredibly hard to be deceptive in your wording.
This November's election is perhaps the greatest test of will of good over evil.

Portraying Trump as riding the bull is awesome. I'd love to see it happen. The way Trump operates is that he is the man. He knows more about everything than anyone and to serve under him means to be a yes man. Team T just keeps falling apart. But I reckon it'll retain the true quality folks Steve Bannon, Roger Stone, Paul Manafort - folks with a history of service to the country, like the fearless leader that gets stuff done. Bankruptcies, lawsuits and self-aggrandizing smack talk being his foremost skills.

1984 was apparently an epic piece of prophecy.

I find the military service issues that get politicized by the right are pretty ****ing annoying. Whatever, lie to me all they want, just don't lie to themselves?

The Trump cult follows that same predictable pattern of lying that they support our military personnel but then trash those military people who Speak truth to power or just peak the truth.

Remember MCCain who was trashed by Trump before, during, and now still after his death.

It doesn't matter to me. Everyone who is in the Trump cult will deny this, claim he is part of the deep state, etc. Trump's extraordinary incompetence has been laid bare for all to see, but they will never see it. Their cognitive biases are too powerful for any evidence to overcome. For all the rest of us, who aren't members of the Trump cult, we already all know this stuff. So ultimately, the best this will do is convince a tiny handful of moderate fiscal conservatives, who already find Trump distasteful but like the tax cuts and deregulation, to switch their vote. Last time they held their nose and voted Trump. This time they'll hold their nose and vote Biden. However, I feel like that is an exceedingly small group. For the rest of Americans, Trump's extraordinary incompetence has already convinced us to vote against him.

The load of crap is your ability to make a decent argument. Home from where? I asked. Afghanistan you answered. What's stopping him? Why are they still there? You said it was simple - so why can't Trump get it done? Because it's not simple.

Which people do you think I'm in. I love it when forum peeps play, "Let's put Curious in a box!"

Are you going to call me a Republican, like so many left partisan hacks around here do, or, are you going to call me a Democrat, like so many right partisan hacks around here, do?

Pro tip - NO politician ever lets a crisis go to waste.

Correct me if I am not following your argument in this thread. You have argued in this thread that Mattis' statement referenced by the OP is false flag conspiracy smear campaign because Trump wants to bring the troops home and Mattis does not. Simple as that you wrote. Not so simple I pointed out.

And now you resort to What-about-Obama?

I like what you wrote but I am not at all convinced that there are enough intelligent patriotic Americans to send that clown back to NY or Florida or Russia.

Sad that you can't follow a simple just as Obama couldn't close gitmo on his own neither can Trump bring the troops home from various places in the middle east. Your argument seems to be that US elite forces should serve as human shields for the Kurds for all eternity.

You are well off topic here, but supporting our allies does not even closely equal our elite forces being pawned as human shields. Are we human shields then in Frankfurt Am Main, Okinawa, Seoul? Sad that you cannot construct a coherent sentence, by the way. What law prevents Trump or any President as the Commander in Chief from ordering home the troops? Is there a secret CIA briefing wherein they inform the President that if he doesn't want to be the next Kennedy, then this is the line not to be crossed?

Mattis pointed out the obvious in his statement to the Atlantic. Nothing particularly brave about it. Too little too late from him in fact. ******bag Donald holding partisan campaign rallies at great expense beginning in his first year in office. Good For You.
