LAT article on 'The Jexodus' movement https://theexodusmovement.com/ of Jews to leave the Democratic party for the GOP. It is getting to the point that the only ethnic/ racial group in the Republican party is older/ white/ protestant/ rural.

" The ‘Jexodus’ of Jews switching parties isn’t what the GOP is hoping for"

    https://www.latimes.com/opinion/op-ed/la-oe-eshman-jexodus-jews-leaving-gop-20190402-story.html

"To the organizers of Jexodus, the movement to lure Jews away from the Democratic Party and over to the GOP, I have good news and bad news.
The good news: There is a Jexodus! Jews, including many prominent intellectuals, have been bolting their longtime party en masse.
The bad news: The party they are leaving is the GOP.

In 2016, 71% of the Jewish vote went to Democratic candidates. In the 2018 midterms, the share rose to 79%

Overall, Trump’s approval rating among American Jews is abysmal. According to a Pew survey, 71% don’t like the job he’s doing, and only 26% approve."

    That is funny.

And Trump and the Republicans feeble attempt to paint the Dems as anti-Semitic.......just frickin pathetic.

I have to say, though, that this grouping of people..."how do The Jews vote"..."how do The Blacks vote"...."how do The Gays vote"...."how do the Poorly Educated vote"....it's kind of gross, that whole deal. Some people may vote together as a block, and I get how that side of it is important, people standing together for their rights. But it's sort of sad that we are still doing this so much after all this time.

With Trump there is only one group: patsies [people willing to accept the worse and then defend it].

As the article points out, Jews don't vote as an ethnic/ religious group. Their vote is based on moral/ intellectual discernment. Something less obvious among Trumped Republicans.

Again I am in the 26% minority. Modern Democrats are much worse then Communists have ever been.

Some Jews do take a stand against Leftism:

Trump doesn't have to paint the democrat party as the party of antisemitism. They are doing a good job by themselves.

Can you cite evidence? Did you even bother to read the article or is this just a gut reaction of impotent nonsense.

Less than 1% of the voting electorate are Jewish so it doesn't matter how they vote.

It is indeed. 1% is ridiculously irrelevant.

    Just a fact.

Hispanics/Latino's only make up about 16% of the voting electorate so they don't really all that much either.

If you want to win elections you need the white vote.

These numbers are for national elections only, local races are completely different.

You need the majority vote, and in America the majority is white if I'm not mistaken. Dems can ignore that fact at their peril.

The white vote makes up about 64% of the electorate so that is where you need your biggest chunk.

Even if you win all the minority votes you would still need a decent portion of the white vote to win.

As demographics change so do the numbers but that's roughly where it stands right now.

On a side note, the highest voter participation rate are blacks by a couple tenths of a point over whites, both sitting at just below 65%.

So considering blacks make up about 19% of the voters and well over 50% of them vote, they are a group worth going for.

Hispanics make up about 16% and their voter participation is roughly the same meaning that not many of them are registered and the ones that do hardly bother to vote at all.

    I forget where Asian's sit.

Only problem is that the white voter [ie. uneducated/ rural] is seriously on the deline. How else do you explain Arizona electing a female Democrat as it's senator?

    Well actually they aren't yet.

Not until their population numbers die down which will take quite awhile even though it is swinging that way.

It's the Hispanics and their population boom which will ultimately drive their voting numbers up even if they stay at the same percentage.

They still have an extremely long way to go to overtake the white vote unless someone gets a serious movement together to get them registered and then to go to the polls.

    More food for thought:

"The Trump GOP mistreats and demonizes immigrants, winks at white supremacists, kisses up to tyrants, and turns its back on climate change. When Trump demeans the memory of McCain, this GOP cowers. It’s a party a lot of Republicans don’t recognize, much less Republican Jews."

How do you explain the Arizona vote in 2018? A state with 75% white voters.
    White includes Hispanics, btw.

"Arizona’s 2018 midterm elections showed us the potential of the Latino voting bloc" https://www.12news.com/article/news...-bloc/75-b0f96abf-efc2-4592-b33a-30f00c474f01

Unfortunately, and strangely, there are more Trumpsters that prefer that stuff than anyone could have imagined....when he winks at white supremacists, he's apparently winking at 63 million people.

I already stated that it only applies to a national vote meaning you have to take the entire nation into account.

Local elections can swing either way and you can cherry pick those all day.

There was no national vote in 2018.
