I applaud patriotism. Nothing wrong with being patriotic at all. OTOH, it seems in america being patriotic is a function of partisanship, at least according to partisans.

 

It isn't about a specific custom, tradition or way of living. It's about all of the above, that has made America, America. The idea that being proud to be an American isn't a sin, or some sign of racism, but a state of mind that should be relatively welcomed. To put it so bluntly: I wish all people in all nations could feel the same for their country.
