    Joseph Mifsud:
The mystery professor behind Trump Russia inquiry

By John Sweeney & Innes Bowen
    BBC Newsnight
    21 March 2018

Who connects the FBI investigation into Trump and Russia, the snapping up of British nuclear knowhow and a reality TV star who makes dresses for the UK prime minister?
Step forward, mystery professor Joseph Mifsud of the London Academy of Diplomacy, originally from Malta, who mixed with Britain's foreign secretary and ex-CIA people, but who also helped connect Team Trump with the Russians.
A Newsnight investigation into Mifsud has thrown new light on to the enigmatic don and his circle, who include a Kremlin trusty and a third man, Dr Stephan Roh, a wheeler-dealer who bought a British nuclear firm which suddenly started coining millions of dollars.
    ~Snip~
Professor Mifsud too didn't respond to Newsnight's attempts to contact him, but has always denied that he is a spy.
When approached by Italian newspaper La Repubblica the mystery professor said: "Secret agent! I never got a penny from the Russians: my conscience is clean."
The FBI investigation into whether Team Trump colluded with the Russians continues - but in doing so it has thrust the troubling connections of characters such as Professor Mifsud and Dr Roh into the light.

British journalists seemingly are ahead of the curve on much of this. It all happened in the UK with slippery characters they are familiar with.
The Brit and Aussie intelligence agencies as well as their alumni have very, very dirty hands along with our own dull but dangerous former director of the CIA, John Brennan.
The Progressive Democrat weaponized agencies squealing will include 'Political Persecution'. Their excuse, "we were just doing our job of protecting the presidential election from Russian interference'.
The German hierarchy tried that same 'just following orders' defense at Nuremberg. Didn't work then either.
There is a type of international crime culture where freelancers manipulate powerful people. They spy, entrap, bribe all in order to enrich themselves. Obama tried hard while Soros and many others are within that community. Mifsud is one of them. The Clintons and the CIA types like John Brennan also dabble in this culture.

Are British are running a retirement community for ex KGB spies? Putin allegedly assassinates them, on British soil, pretty routinely. But I'm not sure I understand the appeal ... from the retired spies perspective. MI6 offers sanctuary to their former KGB adversaries without hesitation. I'd imagine MI6 reminds it's Russian guests that they hold their lives, and their loved ones safety, in the palms of their hand. Defectors, double agents, and dissidents living in Britain are completely vulnerable, and so, completely obedient. We don't know anything about Misfuds relationship with British MI6, but Misfud has gone underground. Misfud allegedly reveals that a Russian official confirmed that the Kremlin launched a successful cyber attack against the US, a charge Putin denies. Misfuds life is clearly in danger, and someone is sheltering Misfud. Why aren't our intelligece "partners" making Misfud available to US intelligece? British spooks are no better than ours, or the ex KGB spooks MI6 puts on pension.

Major embarrassment for both countries. These kind of "embarrassments" used to start wars between countries a hundred years ago or so. Have we really progressed at all when a duly elected sitting president is attempted to be removed from office illegally?

I find it interesting that you post a long fevered rant that makes allegations that are not supported in any way by the information in the article you posted.

When clear evidence surfaces of suspicious interaction between a US Presidential campaign and intelligence efforts of a rival country, it is natural for the intelligence and law enforcement agencies to investigate.

Especially when such collusion is suggested by the bizzarre moves of the candidate himself, and comesfrom multiple sources.

Don't waste anyone's time outside of idiotic Trumpster world trying to pretend otherwise.

The "clear evidence" (alibi) keeps shifting. Now that it's been discovered that Yates / Comey had Flynn under surveillance a year before the Kislyak call, the liars claim that a photo of Flynn seated at a table with Putin ... and Jill Stein ... was "clear evidence". :roflol:

Yet they defend these actions. How corrupt was the Obama administration?
