A New York judge ruled Wednesday that Donald Trump is no longer in contempt for failing to turn over documents demanded in a subpoena by the state's attorney general.

The former president's April 25 contempt finding came after he contested a December subpoena seeking records related to his personal finances and the financing of several properties. Trump claimed he had no material that was responsive to the subpoena, leading to demands by the judge and the office of New York Attorney General Letitia James that his attorneys provide detailed explanations of how they conducted their search.

"Although we are pleased that the court has lifted the contempt finding, we maintain that it was wholly unwarranted and improper in the first place," Alina Habba, an attorney for Trump,
said in a text message. "We will push ahead with our appeal to secure justice for our client."

Well there it is. A political use of the court system to harass Trump fails in New York. It is disturbing the way that liberals embrace the use of government powers to target, harass, and intimidate political enemies.

Does NY realize how much money Trump pumped into that city and state? He was his own economy, and now they want to hang him. What happened to the days when NYC loved him, everyone wanted to be seen with him and he was the guest of governors and presidents? What happened was he put an R next to his name. If Trump hasn’t already done so, he should make his Florida location his official residence and business address so NY can’t grab any more of his tax dollars.

Imagine the panic inside the California statehouse every time they meet to discuss budgeting and are confronted with the reality that tens of billions of business tax revenue dollars have fled their crappy state because of moronic prog policies and the only thing they have to replace it with is a few million illegal invaders most of which went straight to the welfare line as soon as they arrived. Bahahahaha, fools.

Are you on Facebook? If so, look up a group called Leaving California. It has a bunch of posts about people who are literally moving out of the state because it sucks. My Wife was born and raised there, after seeing what life is like on the outside she said she would never go back.

Well I was talking about the State of New York but I yes, the abuse I mentioned goes beyond that State to the Federal level.

I would hope the GOP, if they take the House, would not engage in Witch Hunts, but as I have mentioned many times In PF I am not a Republican. I am a registered independent. I sometimes vote for Democrats, but usually in local elections. In local elections the environment, zoning, etc. are important issues to me and sometimes a Democrat is the best option. I want to see a political environment of civility at the State and Federal level, but perhaps that is too idealistic.

He can even come to my county and set up shop. We are one of the few counties in the state that still does not have a development impact fee.

Although I'm sure such a fee would not concern him much

Has anyone pointed up how many civil court cases, investigations and criminal prosecutions against Trump that have been mounted in the last 6 years and how many of them have succeeded compared to how many failed?

Well Obama did come here in 2009 to tour the big solar plant out in the county. Of course he was probably far too busy to stop and say hi to any of the locals

    Nope.

“In a filing June 21, an attorney for James' office said it supported lifting the contempt finding, not because it was happy with the explanations it received, but "because it is not apparent what else, if anything, [Trump] and his counsel can be ordered to do."”……

"We have every expectation that [Trump] will be examined under oath next month and will advise the Court promptly if new information regarding Respondent's documents is gleaned from that testimony," Amer wrote, adding that he is still concerned about "the apparent absence in the productions of documents one would expect to see from Mr. Trump relating to his Statements of Financial Condition."

Doesn’t sound like anything was turned over.

Bingo. Still havent seen a single piece of compelling evidence to support any of the accusations against Trump. If it wasnt so ****ed up it would be comical.
