No , companies just don’t want to be associated with the guy who helped wind up the MAGA riot that ended with the desecration of the Capitol Building and the death of a cop. Ain’t rocket science dude.

If the Pillow Guy spoke at an Antifa rally just before they rioted, would you force the retailers to sell his products? Hell no.

    Hobby Lobby, Chick-Fil-A, Goya

All red, all went through a political mess, all thrived.

It works both ways; partisans just cry when it's against them. Democrats cry when it's against them.

    Same coin.

Hobby Lobby won a legal decision and Chic Fil A changed their policy. I have no idea what the Goya thing was about, except for a Price Is Right pose by Ivanka.

That's not what I mean. I'm referring to 2015 when the private sector forced Mike Pence to revise his Religious Freedom Act. That was merely a reflection of public opinion toward gay rights that changed almost overnight. With Trump, it's that the name is toxic. It's associated with rioting and insurrection, as it should be, and as it will be.

I say slow learners because what we're seeing is what we'd expect.

So does this mean that you support the Trump using military might in an effort to remain in power. Especially after it lost in the election?

Their customers will find other pillows, from other manufacturers and they will purchase those.

If you really want a My Pillow pillow, I’m sure you can still find one at Walmart.

This is reminiscent of when Nordstrom dropped Ivanka Trump’s line. It wasn’t moving, so they dropped it, yet conservatives cried foul.

It is more like shunning. In polite society it is more tasteful to shun a wrong doer. To delete them from one’s life rather than to tolerate the bad behavior.

By tomorrow the Trump will be yesterday’s news, and the world will forget about him. Our nightly newscasts will no longer start off with, what is the craziest thing the Trump said today. He will no longer exist as someone who matters, as someone anyone has to take seriously. We, collectively, will turn our backs on him. And good riddance.

True. But it’s not about just Trump anymore. He is being used as a vehicle to silence ANYONE who doesn’t agree with the “correct” way to think.

We have Dem officials who are expressing fear because military guards are usually white males and “probably” vote a certain way. AOC told a bunch of white males that they “don’t belong”.

Could you just imagine if white politicians
expressed their fear of “black people” protecting them? Or if a white politician told AOC she doesn’t belong? Care to guess the terms that would be applied?

Tech coordinating to make Facebook and Twitter the only viable options to communicate on social media. Dem politicians trying to get Fox Cancelled from cable networks.

It’s a dangerous and scary precedent Democrats are starting here.

It's a garbage store, high priced junk, that's why My Pillow was sold by them.. There are a 100 stores/outlets just like them, and I toss those mail catalogs in the trash 52 weeks a year :)

    Align with liberals or else.

This is what partisan extremism looks like.

It doesn't matter though. The CEO reports to the board who reports to shareholders. Engaging in politics like this is a dangerous game. If sales fall, buhb bye CEO.

Funny how the desecration of Minneapolis and a dozen other cities by liberal sympathizers, BLM and others doesn't bother them at all- but objections to the kind of behavior they excuse themselves for does, only when it doesn't support the political cause they want. Gross hypocrisy has been the house rule for dems and liberals.
    .
No intelligent person person wants the nation divided. No HONORABLE person thinks the first amendment applies only to them, and they can economically or socially browbeat any who have other views into silence.

The constitution is the prime directive, the foundation of right and laws in America. Those who attack it are the enemies of all real Americans. The left is comfortable with the idea of forcing people who object to their conduct into silence, and that should offend any living person period. Including you. Apparently, it does not.

just another instance of CEO'ing while Republican. I see the my pillow commercials all the time with web URLs and coupon codes. He doesn't need bed, bath and beyond. I will also stop using that store. Screw cancel culture

you are happy that someone is being discriminated against for their views? Are you sure that is something you want to be on the internet FOREVER?

Yes, abhorrent views should be discriminated against. What does the internet have to do with anything?

Bull! The vast majority of Americans will know literally nothing about this (and even fewer would have if Lindell hadn't talked about it in an interview) and of those who do find out, the vast majority would struggle to care much either way, regardless of their pollical preference.

A tiny minority of extremists will change their behaviour (not just clam to on the internet) as a result, just as a tiny minority of extremists on the other side would have changed their behaviour if the stores had continued to stock My Pillow. Assuming it is true that those stores are dropping the product, we've no idea what the combination of reasons that would have been behind that business decision were. Either way, the direct impact of their success either way will likely be minimal at best.

And this is the winner. If it is a stupid decision by the CEO, and the shareholders don't get their $$, then it's time for a new CEO. Simple as that. We may all look at this from a political perspective, but in the end this is all about money. Corporations number one priority is profit for the shareholders. This isn't about cancel culture, it's about money.

I don't think Trumpers can honestly claim that they are half of the adult US population any more. They couldn't before, either, but they could at least point at the election numbers and pretend that was representative of the entire population. But after the insurrection, you'd have to be pretty naive to think all Republican-voting people support Trump, and that so many Trumpers frequent these stores enough for a boycott from them to matter. I bet doing this alienates, maybe, 2% of their regular customers. The rest are not so devoted to Trumper or a guy who "invented" a lumpy pillow after a coke bender.

I would say he's calling for a boycott of certain stores, and he has every right to do so.

    Sounds great.

Every store in the USA should boycott Lindell.

He can do all of his stuff through direct mail order.
