    Exactly.

One of the Worst things (if not THE WORST) that came about because of Trump"s Election:

The Mainstreaming of The RW Talk Radio Tinfoil Hat "Fringe" (that nobody has ever taken seriously).

Now, just because a Mentally-Unstable Tinfoil Hat RW Conspiracy Theory PARROT (like Trump) has been elected POTUS--it has "legitimized" these Whacked-Out People (like Alex Jones, Et.al.) because Trump has major screw loose.

That is why the Neo-Nazis and the White Supremacists love Trump so much.

The Neo-Nazis and White Supremacists know that Trump agrees with them.

Trump wouldn't have had a chance of flipping those key Rust Belt States without the Hard-Core support of his White Supremacist Base.

    ^That is simply a FACT.

Trump loves Neo-Nazis and Neo-Nazis love Trump.

^They share the common goal of Destroying America.:smh:

I understand you perspective, but I disagree with you on much of it.

That may come as a surprise to the Trumpsters on this thread, or the bigots or the flat earth types.

    I live amongst these folks,

I can tell you without reservation that the vast majority of them are perfectly decent, normal people. The work construction, ride the fire engine, wait on you at Home Depot, and work on the factory floor or the warehouse. Quite a few are successful small businesspeople. Many of them are pillars of their communities, and a few are elected officials.

In their personal lives, they are as likely to be as generous and selfless as the next person. And when duty calls, they step up.

But we live in a culture that isolates people in their tiny worlds and sells fear of all the other worlds on a daily basis.

I know people who would never use the “n” word in public, and not often in private, but who will cheer when Trump tells his chanting mobs to beat up the black protestors who showed up at his rallies. Remove the personal and make the hate and fear an abstract fear of iminganary “others”; “others” portrayed as a dirty vicious mob on Fox and paraded in a relentless b roll, and the casual bigotry pops right to the surface.

These people are not out to destroy America, and justifiably bristle at the suggestion. But they aren’t particularly sophisticated or well informed. They understand little of the world outside their own experience, and have long been conditioned by conservative media to fear it, and resent it.

They have little understanding or appreciation of the laws and customs that have preserved a stable government on this continent for 200 plus years.

Instead, they are conditioned to view politics as a reality TV show, presented as a never ending serial, in which you cheer good guys or bad guys. They believe that this is all abstract and that their lives won’t be affected. It’s a show. Nothing will really change.

This is deeply ingrained. Many people are brought up to believe that they should know their place (even while resenting being in that place). The yearn for an imaginary world where folks like them had low skill high paying jobs in Trump’s mythical steel mills and coal mines.

But they will just as loudly attack anyone who argues for a higher minimum wage, universal health care, or demand to be paid a living wage.

Know your place. Accept the crumbs off the billionaire’s table as your lot. This is a core message of right wing media, one embraced by every right wingers on this forum.

The man tells them to fear and hate the brown and black man, and love the billionaire, even as he cheats them and robs them.

And that is the vein that Donald Trump has tapped.

There is a lot of truth to what you say.

Still, the most VISIBLE Trump Supporters (on social media and other platforms) have a more extreme view of what Trump represents (than the "average" people that you describe).

In general terms, one can find some good in any group of people.

There were sympathetic guards in Bosnian Rape Camps, there were Compassionate Nazis, Etc.

It is never good to paint any group of people with too broad of a brush.:salute:
