I held back slightly and tried to get past Britt's complete lampoonability (obviously her demeanor was for a particular demographic), however she disappointed when she dropped the lady-prim version of 'Mexicans are rapists'.

There are so many genuine & intelligent reasons why the US should not and cannot open the flood gates for millions of asylum refugees. However the populist Right simply will not veer from false & unproductive sensationalism that comes close to dangerously tarring all immigrants and thus dividing the country further.

I haven’t taken the time to listen to Biden’s speech yet. I’m interested to see if he uses any appeal to emotion arguments or other fallacies in it.

I only listened to this one because I found it amusing after years of Dems busting Rep chops for not having enough women politicians to see the vehement attack on this woman. It’s sad we don’t want diversity when that diversity includes diversity of lifestyle or opinion.

Add to that Biden's roll back of Trump era energy policies, which reduced US energy exports to a crawl thereby increasing the cost of oil world wide thereby enriching Iran and Russia and making there current wars possible. Biden rebutter Sen. Britt blasted for recycling 20-year-old sex traffic story to attack border policy

Alabama Republican Sen. Katie Britt is under fire for using what appears to be a sex trafficking victim’s experience from the early 2000s to condemn President Joe Biden and his border policy.

Britt gave the GOP rebuttal to Biden’s State of the Union address to Congress this week.

During her rebuttal, Britt referenced a visit to the Del Rio sector of the Texas border where she depicted a seemingly personal conversation with someone who had survived sex trafficking by groups in the U.S.

“That’s where I spoke to a woman who shared her story with me,” Britt said in the video. “She had been sex trafficked by the cartels starting at the age of 12.”

The victim Britt referenced was Karla Jacinto Romero, who was sex trafficked in Mexico — not the United States, as the senator suggested — from 2004 to 2008, twenty years before the Democrat Biden became president.

The support of Biden by the democrats is a pathetic sight. The only reason for it is that he he is tractable so there isn't any real boss in the white house. I'm confident that the DNC will replace him soon or at the convention. I don't think they have any other choice. I doubt they have any interest in losing the election. It is frustrating that our political system can't provide good candidates on either side.
