No, he had a deal with a Senator who voted "No" on Kavanaugh. I can't remember who it was. It was a woman. She voted "No". But, after her vote, she told the Senate that the senator who was attending his daughter's wedding would have voted "Yes", so she withdrew her vote of "No". Her vote officially goes as "Present". That's why the 50-48 vote. If the senator who was at his daughter's wedding had been there, he would have voted "Yes", and the other senator would have voted "No", and the final tally would have been 51-49.

I really take umbridge with anyone trying to falsely or ignorantly equate Statin, Beria or any of the terrorism that Russia vested on it's neighbors and occupied lands with the USA. Both of my grandfathers were considered enemies of Russia-Stalin -Communism and they ended up in Siberia. My father was targeted also but the Nazis got him before the Russians did. So I know very well of the evils of Stalin-Russians-Communists believe me there is absolutely nothing in this country that comes even within 1000 light years of what Stalin-Russians-Communists did to their neighbors and those that they invaded. When you take such ignorant comparisons you do a great disservice to the millions and millions of victims of Russian-Stalin -Communist atrocities.
