Greetings to all on this forum, friend and for alike. I may be offline for a few days or weeks. Tuesday I'll be undergoing kidney transplant surgery after several years of declining health and energy. I'll miss the discussions here whether the recovery is short or long. God bless you all.
Good luck to you. My wife had been given the gift of life of a kidney from a live donor. Her transplanted kidney lasted double the years of an average transplanted kidney. She accomplished that by keeping strict adherence to drug and diet regimens, common sense, adherence to medical appointments and testing, having a great transplant medical staff’s help. Having a positive attitude will get you far and hopefully support from family. Help yourself by learning as much as you can about kidney transplants and functions. My wife was told by honest doctors that she knew more about transplanted kidneys than they did before they started treating her. I wish you luck whoever you are whatever your politics are. I wish you a long life with your new kidney. Sadly I lost my wife some months ago after her body was just to worn out. Again good luck too you as a person.
Best wishes to you and I had a friend who had 3 transplants, 2 rejected early on and the 3rd gave her 14 yrs with it. It's a tough tough road and I'm sure you are up on all you need to be doing for the best results.
Thank you. We're praying for the best. My son is the donor and the doctors tell us it's a perfect match.
I guess I just have to wait and see if Bob and have to go through the pre operation routine again. It involves some pretty nasty tasting stuff.
