It has everything to do with it looking scary. The looks are the only difference between so called "assault weapons" and any other rifle. This isn't doing something about it. All the people that owned these kind of guns didn't do the massacre. This is doing something that has nothing to do with the massacre. That doesn't take balls that takes morons.

well no it's not just possession of the gun that's all that the rights you have to give up. We have a lot of rights that you would have to erase to take away our guns not just one. This is what it's like living in a free country.
The last is a little dated as we have had 2 familicides of more than 4 people ( fbi definition mass shooting) and one public mass shooting where 4 people died That in 23 years
We've been making semi-automatic rifles for over a century. And every single one of those has the same rate of fire as any other one. One round per trigger pull. So I'm not sure it's probably in the hundreds maybe thousands. And then there's pistols too

If there was a massacre afterward then it didn't work at all. The idea was to prevent massacres there was a massacre therefore it didn't. It isn't that it's not perfect it's that it's a complete and total failure
