Lack of civility in this election?

You haven't heard anything. Jefferson Vs. Adams was a bloodbath. The following words used in this video are verbatim quotes.

You know, I really don't mind campaigns with attack adds etc. But putting out and saying things that aren't true is not an attack on the other candidate, its an attack on the voting citizens.

What really gets me is how Obama claimed he was going to bring both parties together, and be some sort of post-partisan politician. And what he turned out to be was the biggest divider in American political history.

The nation is more divided now than it has ever been. Between blacks, whites, hispanics, women, rich, poor, middle class etc.

Obama has failed and the thing that is bad is that he lies about everything he speaks of.

 

We all knew it was a lie when he said it. Obama isn't black. He's a politician.

 

Y'all don't get to blame us for the thing that you've devoted your lives to for the past 4 years. I mean, you can try to blame Obama for the problem you gleefully helped create, but that looks ridiculous. It hasn't been the Democrats screaming about how half the nation isn't real Americans, and that the true patriots should secede, and the other side are traitors to the Constitution, and so on.

Many conservatives are going to need to buck up and put their big boy pants on. Even though they've spent the last 4 years behaving as badly as possible, they still find it incomprehensible that the dirty liberals might play rough in return. Hence, this high conservative demand for fainting couches, so the conservative delicate flowers can safely pass out in shock over how meeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaan those liberals are. Liberals, being very used to it, are made of sterner stuff.

 

So you think its ok to make an add that is a complete lie stating that Romney killed some guys wife? or you think its ok to say that Romney is going to enslave black people and put them back in chains?

If you think that is ok, than you really need to rethink your political leanings.

 

No he doesn't. If he thinks that kind of thing is OK, then he should definitely remain a liberal Democrat. That's the party for him.

I've come to a realization about something, particularly in regards to liberals. While I have held them in comtempt for decades for their idiotic utopian ideologies, I have to admit this:

A good portion of them recognize exactly how bad and damaging Obama is to America, and are stepping away from the party line D. You get the occasional rabid cheerleader here on PF, but there are a lot of liberals who will not vote for this would be, wanna be king.

 

Depends on what civility is ... is ... take for instance the massive *get-out-the-vote* campaign now going down in Pennsylvania after yesterdays ruling ...

Dems are forced to go door to door in only two cities Philly & Pittusburgh to help out poor blacks to get GOP communist ID's to vote ...

Can you imagine that ... the only 2 Dem cities where there's a black Dem majority in all of Pa. are subjected to voter-suppression ...
