    2016 will mark the 80th anniversary of the Spanish Civil War but first we celebrate another historic occasion: last known Abraham Lincoln Brigade veteran Del Berg turns 100 today

    *shrug*

    The birthday of a Communist who went to join a foreign Communist army that was trying to take over Spain. Happy Birthday to him, but I find nothing to celebrate in his actions or the side he fought for. The atrocities of the International Brigades has long been a stain in Spanish history.
