I agree that there is no such thing as hate speech. And that hate speech is a construct from the left to eliminate free speech per the rules the left creates. This is clearly the case at our universities.

I don't think that just hating is an offence in the UK. What is punishable is speech inciting others to hate the hated group or speech inciting violence against the hated group. We do not have a first amendment. However I believe we have far more protection of people's rights to political freedom - for instance we took in some of the people you deported because they were communist. The UK had a communist Party. Remember that this is an American outfit who are banning these people. The BNP is a party. the British Fascist Party you can check them out at Stormfront. Britain First however is not a political Party. Again why is it that you believe only right wing people commit 'hate' speech. What are they doing when they are accused of this?

 

Then the action itself is violence, but not the words that were spoken. It is not necessary to demonstrate so-called "hate speech" to have the speaker charged for such a development. Merely inciting a riot is more than sufficient.

OK I said before we in the UK do not have a first amendment but I believe we have greater political freedom than the US and I suspect that people in the US do not understand how often their right to speak is actually taken away. For instance you have all kinds of laws now taking away your rights for being involved in the non violent activity of BDS. I think you will find that you can be fined or even go to jail for it in many states. Puerto Rico was asked to sign saying they would never support it before getting aid. This is massive denial of your right to freedom to think never mind anything else. Now over this it is not impossible we will one day get as bad as you and there are certainly people working to make it so but so far our courts have refused to make it illegal for people to support BDS. Our courts say we are a democracy and so people have the right to choose what political view they have. Personally I suspect we have more rights than you though I do recognise that laws against inciting hatred and violence do need to be kept a strict eye on.
