Kara Cooney, who wrote the book published by National Geographic Press, asks readers to "consider 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse, who used his semi-automatic weapon to kill two Black men in Kenosha, Wisconsin, while waging a glorious race war on behalf of his inherited White power."

In interviews, the liberal/progressive/socialist admits to her mistake, but downplays it as not being important.

These people are ignorant, obviously. But Cooney isn't alone; ask one of your leftist friends if they know the race of the thugs Rittenhouse shot in self-defense. Odds are, they'll assume it was a couple of black men.

Sadly, but not unexpected, leftist news sources such as the NY Times, Washington Post, NBC,CBS, ABC, CNN and all the other Democratic Party propaganda rags virtually ignored Cooney's error.

They realize their readers don't like ANY information that plays against their narrative, which is why so many liberals/progressives/socialists are so ignorant of current events...

 

It was and still is a very popular lie on social media, one of the two places where the sort of hyperprog buttsquirt is hatched, circulated, and digested. The other being America's classrooms. I mean, holy crap, that phrase "waging a glorious race war on behalf of his inherited White power". What sort of moonbat turbocuck personality must one have to think this, much less write it and sign their name to it.

I noticed her defense was the favorite fallacy of liberals, a strawman, i.e., claiming that people upset about her false statement are in "denial that America has a race problem at all." So much for the vaunted social science higher education. Her Amazon bio states "her academic work focuses on death preparations, social competition, and gender studies." LOL.

I am going to take the liberty of quoting one of the Amazon reviews of her book which seem apropos.


If you like your egyptologist with a feminist missionary zeal who turns egyptology into a political allegory for today's world, and to moralize us then this book is for you.

That is what Kara Cooney does with her new book here as she did with her prior book: When Women Ruled the World. She uses her egyptology to pontificate and project her own personal political sensibilities and politics of today along with her social commentary.

Nevertheless, I agree with everything else you posted because this is crazy. There is no way that a person writes an entire book and one of the main details is undeniably provable as being false. So, there has to be another motive. It might take a while for it to come out but this didn't happen by accident. There are several people involved in a book being written, edited, fact-checked, proofread, illustrated (if applicable), etc.. We are expected to believe that all those hands touched drafts and final copies of this book and they ALL *missed* that key detail? BS.

Wow this book nobody ever heard of, by someone nobody ever heard of sounds poorly fact checked. Not sure how it reflects on anyone other than the author and the editor though….

 

This was *not* an oversight. That's practically impossible in the book publishing world.

The only guess I have at the moment is to continue to fuel the fire that systemic racism is not an issue in the US. Racists and racism-deniers can point to this "mistake" and say "See, it's all made up!" and continue their lives believing that.

I have never understood why people go to these extremes to get out the battle cry of racism. There are more than enough REAL cases from which to choose to use as a platform.

This just feel way too contrived to me.

I'm not partisan, racist, homophobic, xenophobic, ethnocentric or bigoted in any way.

Further, I'm not really concerned about "the left" doing whatever you think they are doing because I recognize there is a definite inequality in this country and it isn't right. It's not okay to claim one has equal rights but not actually do that. People making efforts to balance that a bit aren't being hateful or targeting white people. The very idea doesn't make sense. I am not the least bit threatened by the idea of ALL Americans having the same rights and opportunities as provided in our Constitution and Amendments.

In order for any of their efforts to have any significant impact on white people, as a whole, they would have to push out white people..

* from every branch of government,
* every US representative in our embassies,
* every military leader.
* every leadership role,
* every company's executives,
* every teacher and school board officials,
* every Chief of Police,
* every church leader,
* every medical care provider,
* every mental health professional,
* every insurance company,
* every local, State and Federal leader
* every library and all archives,
* every American and non-American that supports white supremacy

etc.

There is no pathway for them to do any of that. It can't happen. It won't happen.
