No surprise. Elections are free. The people of Seattle have what they paid for.

I used to agree with you but now I think the vandalism should be met with rubber bullets, flashbangs, and pepper spray. If that fails, much stronger methods should be applied.

THE EXODUS IS HERE: Due to Seattle’s unrest, billion-dollar investment firm moving to Phoenix.

” … The unrest that has taken place in the city of Seattle … there is really is not a downtown business community today,”
Smead Capital Management, President and CEO Cole Smead told KTAR News 92.3 FM.

“We’re hearing rumors of 40-story buildings that will be only 20-percent occupied by October,” Smead said.
As of May 31, the firm managed approximately $1.58 billion.

They are probably of the Oppressor Class, Seattle won't miss them.

Love it, love it, love it. Get all those capitalist pigs and racist cops out. Maybe the festival can last until the Presidential election.

Unfortunately the mayor has finally realized that Trump is not going to fall into the trap so she is calling it:

Three elected far-left City Council Members have called for left-wing liberal Jenny Durkin's resignation. I guess the mayor is too conservative for Seattle.

This was before the mayor decided not to gift downtown to the Marxist/Communist anarchists.

    https://www.seattletimes.com/seattl...get-some-say-mayor-should-consider-resigning/

"Three council members — Kshama Sawant, Teresa Mosqueda and Tammy Morales — now are asking Durkan to resign or consider resigning as Seattle grapples with protests sparked by the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis."

SENATOR TOM COTTON AGAINST THE 1619 RIOTS: We Can Give No Quarter to Mob Rule.

“When you tear down statues of Washington and Grant, it’s not about the Civil War—it’s because you hate America.”

Grant set the US Army against the terrorist wing of the DNC, The Klu Klux Klan. Today the terrorist wing of the DNC is Antifa/BLM

This hatred for America was nowhere on greater display than in San Francisco, where the mob tore down the statue of Grant. That would be U.S. Grant, commander of the Union Army whose very initials embodied his tenacious, unrelenting approach to war: “unconditional surrender.”

That would also be President Grant, the political heir of Abraham Lincoln, a statesman who smashed the first Ku Klux Klan, signed the first major civil-rights legislation, and presided over passage of the Fifteenth Amendment. In one famous instance, President Grant sent in the troops to disperse a white mob in New Orleans that was terrorizing the city’s black and Republican residents, and had deposed the state’s lawful governor.

Grant had zero tolerance for mob rule. He said “neither Ku Klux Klans, White Leagues, nor any other association using arms and violence to execute their unlawful purposes can be permitted in that way to govern any part of this country.”

This was a man whom the great Frederick Douglass eulogized as “too broad for prejudice, too humane to despise the humblest, too great to be small at any point.” Yet the mob still came for Grant.

Some people have been asking, where is the line? I say, this is the line—the line between mob rule and the rule of law. And since I began by quoting Lincoln, I’ll conclude by borrowing from Grant, who wrote during the Battle of Spotsylvania: “I propose to fight it out on this line if it takes all summer.”

And I’ll fight it out on this line if it takes a lot longer than that.

Trump should let the local DP pols and their police handle it unless they beg him for help.

The DOJ could start arresting individual felons if they have bothered to assemble any evidence.
If they haven't done that Trump should let the local elected government deal with it indefinitely.

Sending in troops to knock heads and play catch and release is a waste of time.

I Wouldn't Put That Manure On My Vegetable Garden!

    Consider, Democrats or Republicans
divide us by skin color, gender, sexual preference, - pigeon holing all :flagus:

The decision for a female VP candidate of color
is obscene. It is not MLK.
    It is a perversion.
I guess I'm old fashioned, but I prefer the "best candidate".
Not one who was filtered from a race, gender, sexual preference, etc. list.

I Want A Heterosexual, Female, Asian, VP Candidate!

Arresting rioters in cities run by crooked DP pols and scofflaw judges is a waste of time.

Yup. Few things are more endlessly excruciating than serious felony charges. It has to be in a venue where you are likely to get a conviction. Take DC that voted 95% Hillary, you'll never draw a jury that will hand out a Antifa/BLM conviction.

The Marxist/Maoist/Communist leaders and organizers, yes. The stupid college-kid protestors who don't even have a clue that they are useful idiots, supporting anarchy and treason can get a break.

~ The clean-up in Seattle will be a real mess. The residents and businesses owners will have a hard time getting restitution from the local government. The looters doing damage are judgement proof - they own nothing. Doubtful Trump will give federal funds.
I am guessing the next CHAZ we will see is San Francisco . They should have free rein there ...

Seattle has been dying for a while.

Democrats, drugs, crime and homelessness. Police figuratively castrated, made impotent by elected city "leaders".

March 2019 Seattle...(This is every major liberal city.)

One year later, they've "Progressed" to allowing Marxist/Communists to take over their downtown and the mayor thinks it's a fun "block party".

It would probably cost less for business owners to just move and invest in a safer city. Even if they rebuilt in Seattle, they can't feel safe that something worse won't happen next year, or sooner.

~ They should also be more careful who they vote for !
It seems private insurance may cover some property damage. I doubt that real estate values will come back up for a few years.
The Mayor of that city should be living on the sidewalk. Sadly politicians are immune from civil liability.

It's not worth the investment of time and/or money for conservatives to bother to try to run for office in these blue cities. We see the tyranny and systemic abuse of people under one-party rulers.

The division is greater on one side that supports and tolerates lawlessness. We see it in the Blue Cities and states. Even a blind person could see it. It is Marxist induced. It is Ocasio Cortez and her like minded Democrats.

Okay, so I watched and listened. But I'm afraid I didn't get any proof of Obama's divisiveness - after all, that's what I was asking for. That was the question to which you responded. I listened to one man's opinion. And it was intelligent and thoughtful - but it didn't speak to divisiveness. In fact, that wasn't even his intent. He wanted to demonstrate Obama as a failed President. One that had all the promise in the world coming in, but squandered it.

Perhaps I missed it. What were his examples of Obama sowing seeds of division?
